Seriously? My money, My property, My patience. Next a publicly funded place of worship and gospel singing on each corner. Cities going broke around the nation and we wonder why.

Crime rates have been going down throughout the nation for several years. What's the correlation? This is just silly.

I find it amusing... including your comment "...prays for".

Oh, not ha-ha amusing. But, have you ever noticed how so many, many people confused God with Santa Claus?

We all do it; we pray for God to do something for us, or give us something, as if he's Santa Claus and we're little kids trying to get a pony and a plastic rocket and a... under the Christmas tree (free point to whomever gets the reference I just made).

I catch myself doing it, and I try instead praying for guidance, forgiveness, and in gratitude. Mostly I just talk to Him like I would a friend, ally, and confidant.

Well, if it decreases crime, why not?

Though that woman is rather despicable if she believes that it's good to pray for someone to get injured. That isn't the sort of thing a righteous person prays for.
