What I've Been Up To

I appreciate that K sent me a recent message to remind me to check back into the Gulch. Months are flying by in these busy days without me noticing so I appreciate the contact.

Yes, I'm still around. I have been working on some cool things, one of which is at the link. Regarding the blog, I have been keeping up with it every day as usual, but it has been a challenge of late.

The videos in that post are very inspiring and worth the time and would be of a particular interest to those of us who like life in the Gulch.

And yes K, I finally did get out of my contract with the publisher and took your advice by putting the Tail of the Dragon into a digital format like you suggested. That was a good idea. : )

Thanks for the view from over MI way. I generally like Rich's stuff, but sometimes he and others here seem to see boogeymen that don't exist.

    Cheers!

    Hello Robbie,
That has been my impression of the TEA party also. I haven't had much interaction of late, but when I did the common thread was only Taxed Enough Already, small government advocacy and Constitutional limits.

I think you're wrong about the Tea Party being driven by theocracy. It is driven by liberty, with the fundamental premise that gov't (and others for that matter) have no business limiting the free exercise of any beliefs, nor the authority to impose beliefs counter to those of the individual (healthcare for example). It is a mindset of "butt out" more than anything else, not one of "let's all go to services." In fact, having participated in several different Tea Party group meetings, the discussion of religion has never come up, while the Constitution has come up each and every time. I think you're off base on this.

I thought you had a copy? I didn't know you hadn't read it after all that time. Well, it took a while, but it's a better situation.
