Attorney General Eric Holder did go to Paris — but only for an anti-terrorism summit convened by Hollande ahead of the unity rally. Holder left Hollande and the others sometime after the group exited the Elysee Palace. Around the time other world leaders and dignitaries boarded buses to get to the front of the march, Holder was taping an interview for “Meet the Press,” NBC confirmed.

They never "know anything." Which is their way of sidestepping any issue. But the press seems willing to play along with an administration that continually says outright that they are caught unaware of everything of note going on in the world, just getting a clue once the major media starts to report on it.

It's mind boggling what this prez 'didn't know' and had to find out on the news. How can you be the decider if you have no clue what's going on?

Exactly. How stupid do they think that we really are? Some lowly staffer in the WH didn't think it was important enough to "tell the President," so he didn't know? This was a specific decision NOT to attend in any meaningful way. The interesting thing is that when it blew up in their faces, this time they admitted it was a mistake - and then blamed it on some un-named staffer. Of course, the sycophantic media will now drop it. This admin just will not admit that there is a faction (at least, I think it is much more holistic) of Islam that is at war with western culture.

But as it was said to you, unless you are the aforementioned Mrs. jb, then it would be improper. But your description is accurate.

The greatest error this country has made (up until Allahbama) is to make politics profitable to the individuals. Now the Swell Old Boys (SOB) are whining that they don't make enough money. They can eat my shorts.

They're still looking for someone as biased, wrongheaded and ineffectual as a 'replacement,' I'd bet...
    :(

I think I posted this question/comment about two months ago. I thought Holder resigned?

Back then it was plausible to say that it was pending confirmation of a proposed replacement. I haven't heard a thing about a replacement.

The March is all BS to placate the masses. What a joke, they hold up pens and pencils. I suppose that is the most lethal weapons they possess. At one time, North Africa was almost %100 Christian. The Muslims took over by force and population. The Christians were forced to convert or be killed. They are doing the same to Europe now.

Frankly, I'm glad they didn't show up because they'd have made the event about themselves (or tried to). The French deserve credit for finally standing up to these criminals.

I only hope they'll figure out that requiring speech to be "responsible" only helps the bad guys.

Jimmy Carter said because odipshit just came back from vacation he couldn't be expected to go, and you are correct about holder. He was in a meeting with everyone but had to tape some meet the press interviews instead of go to the rally.

Holder was right there! All he had to do was walk across the street and join the other dignitaries. It is pretty clear that he was specifically instructed not to do so. There is only one person who could issue such an order. So, once again the excuse machine goes into action when the absence of BHO becomes the latest major presidential gaffe.

This admin has clearly had a problem with labeling Islam a violent religion - or even that there are extremists that use the religion as their excuse for violence.

Yup. My wife just read it. A very interesting read as she shared a few things with me. The part about choreographing "the ultimate sword fight" was really entertaining.

    Lol
However I would argue that it wasn't, because it brought Westley happiness to do things for buttercup, so he had a selfish motivation for those words . Not living his life for her sake but living his life with her because it made him happy.
Atlas shrugged and the princess bride connect who'd have thought!

As You Wish. Whoops, I'm not supposed to say that in this forum. It definitely goes against Galt's oath.

Nice one, Inigo (I mean, MelissaA.) The actor who played Westley has come out with a new book to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Princess Bride.
