I feel like the public's getting played. Kyle was an interesting guy and great warrior. The movie, from what I understand, whitewashes him a bit. I see a lot of passion from people about "freedom isn't free" when a lot of these folks care more about the Superbowl than what's really happening to our freedoms. I haven't seen the movie but I'm already tired of it. Like seeing The Interview (I didn't)- seeing the movie isn't a patriotic statement. I guess what I’m trying to say is that the older I get, the less I give a sh*t about all this chest-pounding political rhetoric about something as mundane as a movie. We’ve been at war for 13 years now. Is it easier or harder to get on an airplane? Is the country better or worse? Sorry to be Debbie Downer…just venting. No offense to the OP, either. Does anybody else feel this way?

as a retired usaf officer, I celebrate the respect
given to our military, when it arrives. . yes, the
talk about the movie is over the top, compared
with our having lost more than 4,000 youngsters
      over there. -- j
