Something told me this wasn't North Korea. I'm still willing to wager that this speculation isn't entirely accurate either. Considering the timing of things and the immediate accusation I wouldn't be surprised at all of this "laid-off" employee had a tie to an alphabet organization in the US government.

As soon as they implicated this "GOP" (Yeah, Guardians of Peace my ass, sorry) it gave away it wasn't North Korea, but a bull^$(*&@ false flag op... Whether it was by Sony to create market hoopola for what they knew would be a dumpster of a movie (pretty awful) or by the dotgov as a BS "excuse" to show PRNK we could kill their internet or whatever, my feeling is that KJU and Co. had nothing to do with it...

But being good sheeple, we bought into what was fed us. And the end result was the sheeple got led where the anti-framer farmer wanted us to go.

Coming up next - a movie against Putin, who has his Ukranian hackers take down the Common Core data servers, and we send Homer Simpson and Al Sharpton over as "good muslim converts" to kill him using some nonsense plot, incorporating military weaponry, poo-poo jokes, and sexy girls...

I don't know if it's true, but one of the early rumors I heard about this hack is that a bunch of the passwords that were used to gain access into the deepest parts of Sony's system were stored in a file called...drum roll, please..."passwords".

And that file of passwords was accessible to anyone with an ounce of knowledge about getting into a system.

So the idea of it being a disgruntled employee or former employee makes much more sense.

(I was wondering...Anyone know what a "gruntled" employee looks like?)

Looked it up. "Gruntle" is the frequentative of "grunt", which means "to grumble'. "Dis" does not mean 'the opposite of' but it apparently means "entirely" or "very". So a disgruntled employee is one who is 'entirely grumbly'.

Neat. I learn something new. And now we know that a gruntled employee is one who is just everyday grumpy and not really truly grumbly.

Anybody read the new "Tom Clancy" novel (not really Clancy since he's been dead for a year, but one of his former collaborators who is now extending the character lineage). It's focus is NoKor and features the paranoia and obsession with beating the west.

Never believed the NoKo connection either. It seemed too quick a response for such a nasty infection. Also a real state actor would not advertise but rather would stay in the background continuing to gather stuff and then publish it all.

I wouldn't be surprised if the whole incident was a hacker or two, sitting in a bean bag chair in underwear, gnawing Fritos and salsa, pumped up over their power to disrupt the nation.

I find the alternative theory highly amusing, especially since vengeful hackers won't let all the (five or six) North Korean PC users get back online.
