I think it's funny that Hank rearden is a Mac user. I'd've figured him for a PC with a well-maintained linux distro.

As you know, Darwin based on FreeBSD is the engine under the pretty gui tht we know as Mac OS. However, although a sleek thin sliver or gun metal blue laptop with well-maintained Linux distro is cool I agree and very much what I'd expect Rearden to use, Linux was made created under FSF's copyleft (or a derivative), originally based on the GNU kernel by a society of free programmers for the good of society .. not entirely sure it would gel with Rearden's Randian Objectivist convictions; although it was made voluntarily by free men and women not at the point of a gun or legislation so its not entirely inconsistent with a free capitalist society.
