Rights are merely anecdotes without the means and the will to defend them.

FYI, I got an error message when I clicked on the header line.
I assume it says "ammo makes a great christmas present!", which it does. Check the sales, check the sales......

Wow. This was just up yesterday, and now it is gone. This was the original link (partial story):
      http://girlsjustwannahaveguns.com/gun-co...

The basics are that because the rest of the EU has passed this treaty, they will likely cease exporting arms, ammo, and "components" (left intentionally vague) to the US. That means that companies like Glock, Heckler & Koch, Sig Sauer, and many others may cease (voluntarily or otherwise) to ship to the US. That's huge for law enforcement who mainly standardize on the Glock.

And though US manufacturers would likely see an uptick, they don't have the capacity to meet the surge in demand that would inevitably follow.

There is also the small problem that the EPA forced the shutdown of the US' last primary lead smelter in the US (primary means they convert ore to bullion). Since lead is a main "component" of bullets, the US could get cut off and see an even worse ammunition shortage than we already have (tried to find .22 lately?).

This is a REALLY big deal that isn't getting any play in the mainstream press.
