My area of 3D printing is now being co-opted by the looter-in-chief. You may also notice that the challenge emphasizes "winter holiday". Perhaps I should print a bouncing $0 bill with Obama's mugshot on it.

Just anything that does not help stroke the Ego-In-Chief.

I do so dislike the contemporary definition of "tree hugger"....it used to be a very honorable profession. But, in lieu of that, I like your idea...poke the bear

    Yes....

Rubber with gilding that is flaking off, just as their obfuscations are becoming more and more threadbare

One of those sunflower power modules that we were discussing a few weeks ago would not look out of place on a dome roof. :)

Well then, three of the four people who are most involved in Atlantis planning approve. I'm still waiting on johnpe1's feedback.

What Au? From what I heard on The History Channel, the vault in Fort Knox is probably empty now.

A tremendous example of 3d printing and Atlas Srugged. My company Signicast gave me a retirement gift. It was a 3d printed globe made of 12 printed wax pieces. These were then investment cast out of stainless and welded together to form a globe. Each half of the globe was a 3d relief of my old plants. The globe was held up by a Signicast logo. All 600+ employees of Signicast knew I was an Atlas Shrugged fan so this was meant to signify Signicast holding up the world. Go to my web site www.terrylutz.net and look under the retirement pictures to see what it looked like.

Freedomforall and I are going to check out aidomes.com's Rockledge, FL office on 11/22 as a cheap housing alternative for Atlantis. If interested, contact me at jbrenner@fit.edu. It is only 6 minutes from my house, and we are going to have a Gulch meetup before or afterwards. I'll probably play AS1 on my DVD as we game plan for Atlantis.

Thanks, but I'll stick with Christmas.

I want to print my own tree... ;)

    And can I add lights?

The sign of the dollar? I like this idea. Perhaps I will make this before I make my wife a 3D-printed zinc bracelet a la Hank Rearden for Lillian Rearden.

I would love to see a 3D dollar sign that could be worn around the neck on a nice gold chain. There are many ways the sign could be portrayed in both the sign itself and the background, but no bigger than a few inches. I'll put my order in today.

I will have to talk to some of my students who are more proficient in CAD drawings than I am.
