Obama has to be struggling with this. He really believes he is a great President and that most Americans love him.

  I know, I thought the same thing. After watching the documentary Utopia I began to realize that many black a ticked at Obama because of his view on immigration and the fact that mexican's are taking away black jobs. I underestimated this issue previously. We are hoping Scott Walker can pull it off up here. He is a good man. WI and Florida Governors seem to be the states being targeted by unions. It would be a major victory to take out Walker. My fingers are crossed for Walker

    WI and FL are both Right to Work states aren't they? Yes, unions hate those. I hope your voting machines at least wait until you leave the booth before changing your vote.

      Wi is not a right to work state. I wish it was. Unions are afraid Walker may make us one although he has gone on record saying he is not for right to work in WI. My guess is that if the senate and assembly put a bill on his desk, he would sign it.

        Hitler once said that if you create a lie big enough people will believe it . People conclude no one would state such a big and outragous lie so it must be true. The liberals and progressives are taking Hitlers thought to a new level. I have always seen lies in political commercials but never ones so outragously false as in this election.

        Years ago, I was going to give my stepson (who is a college grad and IT professional) a revolver out of my collection for his birthday a few years back... it's been in my family for generations, was my dad's target 357, and has killed many wild boar as well... My hope was, as he likes shooting, he could carry part of the family's "legacy" of shooting...
        
        But I immediately had second thoughts, when he asked the following questions - and he ended up not taking the revolver (for which I am grateful)...
        
        (1) How does he get his firearm owner's license, and how much do these cost? If he gets a second one, does he need a second license, or do they amend the one he has for a fee?
        
        (Me - you don't need a license - it's your right to keep and bear arms. him - But you have to have a license and permission from the authorities to own a gun, right? Me - Are you a felon? Deranged? Been in a mental institution? Him - Of course not. Me - Then you're good to go. Him - Well, what about the owners license then? Me - Arrghhh... )
        
        (2)Since everyone knows it's illegal to keep guns in homes, will gun ranges store them for me for a fee, or does my local Police Department do that for me? And what hours am I allowed to use it?
        
        (Me - "Huh? Where did you get these ideas??" Him - "From school, and all my friends - everyone knows this." me - "You need new friends.". )
        
        (3) Do I have to go to your local police department to register it right now, or can it wait until I get back to my home tomorrow so I can do it at my local police station?
        
        (me - never mind, you know how I answered...)
        
        Any wonder why this nation is going down the red road of serfdom?

        I know he's lost a few and gotten a few others, and I've noticed his, um, "citizenship maturity" has improved somewhat... I'm still holding out hope that fine liberal education can eventually be overcome, but being that deeply indoctrinated, the dark side is strong with this one...
        
        All I can do is hold out hope it changes. All 3 of my kids are showing this same inidiotination, which really scares me. I know, the older generation ALWAYS says this about the younger... but this is the first time I can see those fears being well founded.

        Wow quite a story.
        In my state one must have a purchase permit, register all hand guns, be thumb-printed and have your registration with you when you carry. CCWs require a different permit. Long guns have no such restriction except you must be 18 years of age and have no criminal record to purchase.

        That is just... unconstitutional. A permit to practice your 2nd amendment right, then they force you to carry around their permission slip to have a firearm (not even concealed) with you?
        
        And I thought Kalifunny was bad. Yeesh!!!

        We are a perpetually majority blue state... Try as we might the rural areas are always out voted by the city folks. Our "Republican" governor (Snyder) is barely a republican, although a slight improvement over our last Democrat Governor (Granholm the give up on the auto industry and buy into green energy queen)... Dumb as a box of rocks...

        I am so so sorry for your plight out there... it's going to be a never ending battle, not to mention the Islamification of cities like Flint and Dearborn... and it's not the religion, it's the destruction and replacing the American culture and values with something absolutely foreign to both our way of life and our country as a whole... and the wholesale loss of an industry that made, and kept, our nation great, all for political looterism...

        Retirement to warmer climes can't come soon enough. The powers that be, are dumbfounded as to why we had a mass exodus in the last decade... I hear that that has slowed some now, but I wonder if it is just because the options elsewhere are limited. You have to want to move to North Dakota and work the oil boom. Of course now that the world economy is slowing and oil prices are dropping that is a gamble too... Hopefully things will change soon.

        When I hear people parroting my stepson's former lack of knowledge of his rights, and say it's for the "common good", it doesn't make me think - it makes me want to kick them squarely in the seat of the pants over and over... Seriously, I've walked away from former friendships over people harboring these anti-American attitudes. They, honestly, make me ill.
        
        The thing is... even WHEN I was a left-wing whacko, I still never forgot our constitution, our rights, and my deep admiration for it. A former friend once asserted vehemently that if were within her power, she would turn in all gun owners to the police to have their guns confiscated because no one should own those dangerous things...

        I rarely speak to either my brother or to the Wizard's sister, because in discussions with both, each admitted that if I refused to turn in any guns I might have, it would be right to take legal action against me and, if I resisted , to shoot me down in the street.

        Thats so typical - they're so anti-gun they would pull a gun on you and shoot you dead. Pure liberal ad nauseum garbage of the self entitled - It's fine for them to own the guns to shoot we the people down for maintaining our rights. I came up with a term I use for that - Feinsteinian - from the senator who made sure that no one in SF got a ccw except for 2 people - herself and her husband - because she felt she was the *only* person who could safely handle a firearm, no one else... and as partof the elite that make the rules, of course she has to be exempt.
