Nice one. I loved watching (yes I watched that game) between Neils first game with the Jets against the Broncos. He got sacked (I'm pretty sure, memory isn't that sharp) 8 times. I loved it. He hardly got sacked when he was with Pitts, thanks to the then solid offensive line.
i don't know the answer to this question, but I want to find out. it's a conscious decision by the nhl, isn't it? they have to have their reasons for the way things are. ahh... now I'm not going to be comfortable until I look it up! I'm going to see if I can find some information.
People need to calm down. Cowher didn't exactly have winning years all the time. What Tomlin is facing now is exactly what I knew was going to happen after Cowher left: the majority of the team that was built under Cowher and that Tomlin inherited is now, mostly gone. And now, (actually starting last year) the team is Tomlins and it's his show. This is where his coaching ability is being tested. Give him 5 years or so to rebuild the team into a winning one. I mean, damn. 6 SB wins. Relax folks.
Neil was a good guy. The receiver ran the wrong route. The duds are guys like Plaxico Burress. You know, the one who shoots from the hip. Oops bad taste.
oh, wow, that's awesome! I'd like to know who he is, but I won't ask for the sake of privacy. but anyway, it must have been an amazing experience for him. if I were his aunt, I'd be proud, too, and scared for him getting hurt. I hope nothing serious has ever happened with him.
speaking of the Olympics... one of my prized possessions is a signed USA jersey from Jim Craig. I can't watch Miracle On Ice without getting teary eyed.
Yeah, like Neil O'Donnel. The guy who threw two balls directly into the hands of Troy Brown. Super Bowl XXX. I think Neil was paid off. Just my opinion. Go ahead, rewatch the "interceptions". Troy didn't do anything spectacular, except turn around and catch the ball direct.
That's the Pittsburgh culture of the sports teams there. They seem to attract some good people. There have been a few duds, but they don't hang around.
I have several family members who played and are active in the NHL. I will say, being the aunt of one, I flinch when he takes a hit. I loved getting to see him play for the USA in the Olympics. Those were some phenomenal games!
Hey non mooch. The fighting and other stuff is designed to slow down the skill players. I saw it first hand when Mario Lemieux played. The average player could not stop him.
