I believe Hitler did much the same thing in the 30's as did Lenin and Stalin and Mao and Saddam and Castro and Chavez. A dictator demands absolute loyalty.

I’m eyeing all those majors that were let go while in theater this year. Sooner or later,everybody moves up in rank. He is refacing the military. It wouldn’t be surprise to me if Holder and other social justice advocates are behind this strategy. First, he changes the gay-rule, then he opens the door to undocumented latinos, then they start cutting the military top brass and mid-level positions.
We need someone with respect for our military to get in there and fix this. Stop treating those who serve like a social project. Can we hold our breathe for two years?

I remember reading about this. With so many scandals it's hard to keep up with this administration. Once again where is the press? The investigative reporters?

When I first heard he that Obama was doing this, my immediate thought was that he fears a coup.

The same thing happened in the soviet union in the 1930s with disastrous results for the Russian army in the Russo/Finnish war, the Continuation War and WW2. The only difference in Russia was that Stalin killed the Generals and senior leadership that he didn't like.

Just like Joseph Stalin and it will probably have the same disastrous results.

Obama might not be like Hitler in conquering other nations but has taken a page out of the Fuehrers playbook. He has his Brownshirts - the Moslem Brotherhood in the USA; then he has his Gestapo - Homeland Security, they probably have already have taken the Blood Oath. The Military has been gutted like Kaiser Wilhelm's military was. He will attempt to pacify the nation with his Joseph Gerbils- ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, and Bloomberg. There is so many parallels it is sickening. I don't think the Nazi's in the US like Obama. Members of the Hell's Angel have already infiltrated our gov't. to steal the spoils when everything goes to Hell! Obama could be worried about a coup from the military but he is an outsider to go majority of the American people. But, they are afraid what Homeland Security-Gestopo could do to the the common citizen. Something like a Revolution/Civil War or a Secession of States has to occur to re-establish the Constitution.

Completely disagree. The "Caliphate" blusters, but poses no threat to America, and we don't need to be in the Middle East.

I say pull out, and let all three factions of bad guys kill each other in droves.

I also say let's break our military commitments to Qatar (for arming Hamas) and to Turkey (both for anti-Israel actions such as the Gaza flotilla and for taking the Russian side in Russia's wars of aggression against Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine). Do it now, before we get dragged onto the wrong side of a war with Israel!
