Not necessarily. Entrepreneurs didn't always suck on the public teat, and not all do. Keep government out of private R&D. Private investors are what real capitalism engages. Kickstarter on steroids. I don't mind the planet warming up; I do caution against polluting it to destruction. Politicians should learn more physics.

'Clean energy' is a code word for higher taxes so government can give money to cronies.

and remember the fact that the reflecting pool area
was cleaner after the tea party folks visited, than
it was before they got there. some love the earth,
    and some don't. -- j

Modern Lib-tards are disgusting slobs! Remember Glenn Beck's Sept 12 gathering on the Mall? People packed out their trash, the land was cleaner when they all left than when they arrived. Contrast that to the million man march or any of the Progressive-Socialist gatherings before or since. Those whiners turn the park into a cesspool.

"Judge, and be prepared to be judged", Ayn Rand, chapter 8 "How does one lead a rational life in an irrational society?" The Virtue of Selfishness.

Or the other old saying, "If everyone swept in front of their own house, the whole street would be clean." But perhaps something good will come of all this (remember, even manure is fertilizer) if more investment goes into developing technology for clean energy (in the absence of the Galt motor).

I wonder how HUGE the carbon footprint was of everyone flying into New York (many on private jets would be typical) for the UN meeting and "parade"/demonstration?
Plus, of course, the carbon footprint of the extra packaging and handling of food and services for them while there - and, of course, now the clean-up and disposal.

Usually these huge footprints are justified by the "representatives" of the human-caused climate change theory (law?) as being easily worth it since they carry such a valuable message....
to me, I just see their giant carbon footprint swallowing their entire intended message, and delivering a completely different one.

Think it was the blarman's set-up titles that caused me to laugh at the sight of all that Progressive trash spillage. Photos of the post Occupy Movement only caused me to sneer with disdain. Now Ferguson comes to mind . . .

uneducated; unemployed; unkempt; it all goes together and when the world continues to function with no particular climatic change other than the normal seasonal changes they will still be unemployed; unkempt; and uneducated. but maybe rfk jr will feed them.

Hey, that's why they pay their city *taxes* for - to have someone else come in, pick up their crap, and make it all go away and vanish like magic, while they sit in overpriced coffee houses and discuss how they're all saving the earth.

Good line, that that come from the Bible:
    Basic English
MT 7:1 "Don`t judge, so that you won`t be judged.
MT 7:2 For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged: and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.
MT 7:3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother`s eye, but don`t consider the beam that is in your own eye?
MT 7:4 Or how will you tell your brother, `Let me remove the speck from your eye;` and behold, the beam is in your own eye?
MT 7:5 You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother`s eye.

I was one of the million-and-a-half marchers who crowded into the city of Washington on September 12, 2012. And we picked up after ourselves. In fact, we left the West Lawn of the Capitol, and the National Mall, picked cleaner of litter than when we found it.

That is a great line. Never heard that when I was growing up. Maybe my mother never saw me saving the world. :)

Reminds me of my mother, who used to say, "Before you save the world, go clean up your room."

They expect mommy Earth to come after them and clean up, just like their birth mommies did/still do.
