Whoever it takes deliver a really big audience and deliver a really convincing performance of the novel's moral principles.

Who are the willing and able "big names" that AS deserves?
A few possibilities with some drawing power and indubitable acting abilities:
    Mel Gibson
    Jim Caviezel
    Robert Downey Jr
    Adam Baldwin
    Kurt Russell
    Tom Selleck
    James Woods
    Gary Sinise
    Chuck Norris
Other names with pro-America views and fame:
    Tucker Carlson
Director? Clint Eastwood, if he still has his wits and resolve

Yes, but they are very friendly to either the Daily Wire or to the franchise. Also, there's an excellent, independently written screenplay available that adapts part of the novel to 21st century context and written by Jacqueline Schumann and Jennifer Bouani.

While I recognize they have been supportive of liberty, neither has significant name recognition to get anyone into a theater that wouldn't have already been there to see AS.
This is not a critique of their abilities as actors.

If and when this is produced, I think you'll see Kevin Sorbo and Mark Pelligrino among the top credits. Getting a really strong Dagny will also be huge.

I agree it deserves it, but I can count on one finger the bankable actor that has made films that Hollywood disapproved.
Obviously there are others who disagree but realize they would likely end their careers to participate in a well done and widely distributed Atlas Shrugged.

One thought is three 2 hour TV miniseries episodes for each part of the novel.

The story is simply too big for just a small movie. It needs to be a mutliple season television show to capture the nuances. I could tell watching the film that they were skipping over too many details.

Yes, I think that's entirely correct, and I guess it depends on the business model. At the same time, AS is such an epic story with epic meaning, I think they want and need 3 - 5 really big names for Galt, Dagny, Francisco, Rearden and Ragnar to maximize the audience and publicity. It more than deserves it.

I don't disagree with what you say, but 'top acting talent' from the 'industry' is only important as a draw into theaters, imo.
There are thousands of undiscovered actors with talent equal to those praised and promoted by enemies of individual freedom.
I worry more about getting the off screen talent and support than the actors.
    Just my opinion.
Whoever does it has a much harder task getting through to the audience today
than 25 years ago when many people had experienced freedom.

If you thought the movies changed your perception, you should definitely read the book.
Let your imagination fill in all the details that the movie couldn't.

It will be interesting to see what Ben Shapiro will do with or do to the essential precepts of Objectivism. In the meantime, I think they have a huge task finding investors, and there is debate about whether they can attract top acting talent given the shared animosity with the union.

I watched the movie yesterday and I have been opened up to new ideas... Maybe the masses are the same

The Daily Wire obtained exclusive rights to movie and TV productions of Atlas Shrugged about 7 months ago.

    I couldn't agree more.
The movie and tv business is controlled by leftist, statist propagandists and
they only promote those who agree with their anti-human goals.
Such a series will not get on any mass media channel.
It will have to be done without any hope of fame or fortune, and distributed
on a "conservative" aka uncensored internet venue.
Very few of the useful idiots will ever see it, but it could reach half of
    adult America in time.
Done right, it would be a great tool for true American educators.
Given the damage done to those under 40 by propaganda and public schools,
there is a lot of ground work to do before those brainwashed millions will
be able to understand the truth of Rand's messages.

Agreed. The sheep are only interested in grazing and other basic, daily survival activities and not the bigger picture.

It would require a lot of money along with producers, directors, and actors who understand what philosophical principles Ayn Rand tried to convey in AS. This to an audience largely untrained and uninterested in rigorous logical argumentation.
