I'm very happy to have landed in the Gulch...

I'm now 65. I first read an Ayn Rand novel when I was a high school sophomore (about 1966!). I quickly found and read everything else she had written. I was deeply impressed then, and I remember them to this day.

I'm married, with two boys in college. I have had a number of "careers," including about ten years as a nuclear-trained naval officer aboard two nuclear-powered submarines, during the Rickover era. Today I work at an unrewarding job and look forward to official "retirement" at the end of the year.
