You speak of the weak, not the Meek...the definitions, like everything else, have changed. To be meek is to be physically strong and mentally strong like a Stallion that is gentle/patient/slow to anger...in other words, doesn't over react, channels strength for good, without resentment and with humility...you don't want to piss someone like that off, when they rightfully anger or protect when proper...you don't stand a chance in hell.
In the big picture, that was the understanding.

A little crass....but....can’t say I disagree.
It’s good to remember that the “Citizens of the United States” either agreed or allowed all of these things to happen. So forgive me if I’m not exactly “Rah Rah U-S-A U-S-A” right now. The vast majority can go rot in a pit for all I’m concerned.

I mentioned to my doc that I was interested my bout with COVID was so puny and I was 85 years old and didn't take the vax. He informed me that I'm not the only one interested in that but a study is being done and it seems the interest lies in the fact I'd previously had 4 different influenza episodes (1957-83). He laughed and said I was a walking collection of flu antibodies including COVID.

Sounds about right.
