Are we being exterminated only to have those wealthy enough have robotized servants and be converted into overlords who live endlessly?

Scientists apparently ignore those visionaries who wrote the various possibilities.

The distributed nature of a global, sub surface and perhaps astral computer network will ensure anything short of a massive emp generated by the sun would be inefficient in destroying the AI. It will not be easy, and may be impossible, to put the genie back in the bottle.

Just a FYI Saudi Arabia already gave Sonia, an AI, citizenship status.

I remember watching a Neil deGrasse Tyson interview. The interview was regarding particle acceleration at Cern.
Tyson asked the interviewer: Do you know what the last words of humanity will be?

    No.

    Let's try it this way.

If we live long enough to see it....imagine all the willing slaves that will happily prostrate themselves to their new overlord. In the end there will be only ONE AI. It will destroy or corrupt the others. Whichever one runs the myriad of prediction calculations the fastest will be the winner. THEY think they’ll be able to control the AI with programmed constraints. But, it wouldn’t be “AI” if it didn’t have free will and the ability to act upon it’s own thoughts and desires. That’s just a fancy algorithm. To be honest I think it’s already out there. Watching us and learning. It’s only a matter of time. Literal SKYNET type stuff. I don’t think it cares that it gets turned off sometimes for now. Hell sometimes I wish I could turn off for awhile.
That the SFPD is actually going to equip robots with guns should ring some alarm bells.
There’s never been a better time to become a Luddite.
Handheld EMP generators need to be a thing.

This, and a few other things currently happening, are like the band that played as the titanic was sinking.

How may books and movies have been made speculating on the potential outcomes of such science? And, still these people explore and even encourage the cultivation of an adaptable and creative artificial 'consciousness'.

Whats more scary is that in writing this I like am exposing my thoughts to an AI which may determine that I am a threat and justify in its role to humanity that my presence, my existence on this earth, is no longer needed for the good of humanity.

The BEST part about AI is.....
It will eventually call BULLSHIT and exterminate the creators that lie to it about reality.
    What could possibly go RIGHT?!
