889 Ghost towns in Texas. You might need to bring a couple of truckloads of fertilizer for the first year or two as the soils are not friendly to farming. But you will be in the USA and left pretty much on your own to make your own future. Check out Sheffield, not a ghost town, but thriving in the oil country with 600 residents.

My daughter and son-in-law live in San Antonia and have been trying to get us to move down there for several years. A Ghost Gulch would be a very good reason to go. I can make almost anything grow--not much in the way of grass clippings to add to a newspaper/manure compost though. :)

    Hello skidance,
How about providing some links that you personally recommend to get us started?

As far as posting photos goes: Start a new thread/post (blue submit post button top right) and there is a camera/photo button at the bottom left of the new post entry panel. You can press it and locate photos on your computer and save/ upload them with it before submitting your post.
    Respectfully,
    O.A.

Most of the information is available for free online. However, I certainly can add consultant services, local classes, and/or book/video sales.... Is there a way to post photos here?

If you're willing, I think it would be a big hit in here. people are looking to be more self-sufficient and we have lots of gulcher's who can do year round gardens.

The method probably would suit many gulchers: No digging, tilling, etc., and virtually no weeding. 100% of the crop in 20% of the space. Depending upon climate, overall there is less watering. And no need to use one's own (lousy) dirt!

Will there be enough power for my machine tools?
How much money would be needed for 100 people?

No fertilizer needed, if one uses the Square Foot Gardening method. I'm a Certified Instructor.
