Biden (er, President Thompson) has to avert a railroad workers' strike. I can see John Galt smirking in the background.

Let's post in this thread all of the ways that the current reality reads like AR's novel.

Yes, why can't they strike,if the employer doesn't choose to fire them (perhaps because of a worker shortage)? Why does the government have a say in it, one way or the other?

The one who speaks is now living in his gulch in Russia and has been given permanent residence there.
It's up to the rest of us now to speak.

Funny how the Democrats “Democracy” involves overturning the votes of the people who actually do the work and find the employment conditions unacceptable.
    Definitely “Our Democracy” at work.
Any of our resident Democratic shills care to chime in and educate me in how I am wrong?
And yes I know the Railroad Workers can always just leave. The argument against collective bargaining is not the point I’m trying to make.

Yeah, the term "Uniparty" is a slang term referring to both parties as one party in reality. You can also say "Democans" or "Republicrats". Basically the two main parties are left and right wings of the same bird, which has more in common with a vulture than an American eagle.

And when are we going to get a crusade to ABOLISH PUBLIC (i.e. government-financed, government-operated) EDUCATION started?

Ain't that the truth! Though this is the first I have known of the name "Uniparty".)That was the thing that shocked me about those wage/price controls--that it was a Republican who did it.

Here I am 4 days post right hip replacement surgery and doing what I have I have to do. then seeing the US going down a rat hole just like in Atlas Shrugged for real. These rail unions have really good ideas and totally outrageous ones for their workers. Now the Presidential Puppeteers have finally shown that they are unable to run the government. Then they give the problem to Congress to solve. Switching the blame if the railroad workers' strike occurs.
I still believe Arizona is Red. All the people who moved here recently from Blue states have brought their politics with them they refuse to assimilate into the Old West Az culture.

Agreed. We should not. If we did their votes would be for sale, like many others now.

Yes, I remember. I couldn't believe it was a REPUBLICAN president that did it! It was a lightning strike that woke me up to the thing we call today the "Uniparty".

Actually Francis Collins is the Dr. Stadler. Fauci is Floyd Ferris. I remember when Dr. Collins was at The University of Michigan when I was a graduate student. Collins was elucidating the human genome with government cash, while Craig Venter developed the genomic sequencer (i.e. Venter was a John Galt.). Collins was a genuinely respectable human being, at least at that time. His Christianity propelled him to learn more about what defines humanity.

It used to be "Viva La Difference!", just take a look.

Now the "Science" is getting to them before they can think to look.
