Excerpt:
""My concern is that I feel like socialists are taking over," Whole Foods CEO John Mackey tells me on today's show. "They're marching through the institutions. They're…taking over education. It looks like they've taken over a lot of the corporations. It looks like they've taken over the military. And it's just continuing. You know, I'm a capitalist at heart, and I believe in liberty and capitalism. Those are my twin values. And I feel like, you know, with the way freedom of speech is today, the movement on gun control, a lot of the liberties that I've taken for granted most of my life, I think, are under threat.""

A true capitalist would never sacrifice their own independence over profit. Even criminal would not do this. Only pure evil will do this--do whatever it takes to control all of the society for their own possessions.

I believe that a business properly exists to make a profit for its owner.

After all this ends, all of those that supported the shots, masks and such will deny that they were ever a part of the support.

Preferably “Fair Trade”. Right?!? Wouldn’t want fascist coffee to affect our ESG scores.
    Mmmmmm the coffee’s good.

This here is what you get if Alanis Morissette and Oh Henry had a baby and named it this exact situation.
    IRONIC.

Whole Foods did forbid employees wear BLM labeled masks and went to court to maintain that.
It is a concern that he waited until retirement to publicly state his thoughts on this, but I think he was aware of it some time ago.

Perhaps he recently had a visit from JG. Whole Foods may not survive without his guidance?

its probably too late to stop it or reverse it. Maybe it can be slowed down a bit with Trump or DeSantis and republican control of house and senate

So am I, although he waited until retirement to say so.
Whole Foods did forbid employees wear BLM labeled masks and went to court to maintain that.
Now he's retiring from the business and possibly leaving it in the hands of the socialists.
He says he's starting something new. I wonder if he'll keep the socialists out of that business.

Not new. Started before 1884. Fabian society. According to M-W dictionary, "[the Fabian Society; from the members' belief in slow rather than revolutionary change in government] : of, relating to, or being a society of socialists organized in England in 1884 to spread socialist principles gradually."

John Dewey, famous and revered American educator, responsible for the American version of the philosophy of education, espoused a similar sort of socialism. Whether he (or any of us) knew it or not, we all learned from John Dewey. He advocated "interdependence" instead of independence. Where do you think what's-her-name got "It takes a village."?

Read this yesterday. I am encouraged that more middle of the road people are recognizing and communicating this!

Well duh! You have to be mostly brain dead not to be aware that the socialists, whether they are of the Fascist or Marxist variety, have been consuming our society and most of the world for decades. It is nice someone is waking up but it raises a question about their critical acumen of the workd around them.
