Just kicked T Mobile to the curb for their vax mandate. Hope Clear Talk is all they hyped it up to be. Certainly a great bargain!

I understand (mistakenly or otherwise?) that Pure
Talk subsidizes the Church. If that is so, I, accepting
Objectivism, could not use it, even if I could get them to service a landline phone. (I have not found a cellphone to buy that was not made in China.)

I just went to the site. They have unlimited data plans for $360/yr and you can try it for 3 months for $90. You can try their cheapest plan for 3 months for $45 just to check coverage and upgrade after. I have no idea what the coverage is like.

Just looked it up. Ryan Reynolds is a part-owner, and Mint uses the T-Mobile Network. I know T-Mobile is liberal, but I had used it before I switched to Patriot and I really liked the company. They had knowledgeable people, who were very friendly. In fact, that is who Patriot used to use. Why they changed, I don't know, but I'd be willing to try Mint because T-Mobile's service is so good. Thanks for the tip!

It is owned by a USA veteran, but it uses AT&T's network. That's what I did not like -- using the AT&T network, which is the same as Patriot Mobile. Since it's owned by a veteran (same as Patriot), they are probably the same people running both. Disappointing.

I have to look at it again and see. Did it a few weeks ago and was not happy about something.

I looked up Pure Talk and was disappointed with the company running it. I'll check again. I know that I was interested -- until I saw the company that headed it.

My wife and kids use TracFone primarily because then they have to monitor their own usage and pay for the services they actually use. It is very helpful in keeping them off the phone in school as well as teaching a very useful lesson: TAANSTAAFL. ;)

My wife and I are on the verge of just eliminating our cell phones all together. We have no smart phones. We only have old flip phones.

Try visible wireless. 25 a month. Absolutely no data caps and slow downs. Unlimited hotspot.

When you are talking about carriers, you are missing one of the main points. No matter what you do, you can't really ditch one or the other: Apple that uses slave labor or Android, which lets evil Google in through the back door. Non-smart phones seem to be the only option and I am not ready to take it... yet.

Pure Talk is who I went when I dropped sprint/t-mobil. One of my better decisions. Great service. I pay 43.00/mo. 5g ready phone included. Just do a search on Pure Talk.

I picked up a TracFone from their store on eBay. For about $70, the phone comes with 1500 minutes and 1500 texts, along with some data, good for a year. I don't use the phone that much so I haven't had to buy refills. Phone and service are adequate for my needs.

Can't beat FreedomPop for price. You pay once for the SIM card ($20 when I joined, might be up to $25 now). Then the calls are free as long as you're connected to wifi. Various plans for when you're not on wifi, but I think the most expensive is $15/month for unlimited calls and texts.

I ditched the smartphones almost 3 years ago. Used to spend >$200/month for two phones, now we pay $52/month for both on Total Wireless. It uses the Verizon network, but that's the best option I've found. Never looked back.

Patriot Mobile uses AT&T, which is terrible. I have it too, but I'm looking to switch. Where is the Conservative Black Market for things like this and for healthcare & dental care. We need a Black Market.

We've been looking, too. Clear Talk doesn't do this to their employees?
