Not sure the situation, but just shows that we aren't the only ones that lack respect for our Pres.

The gas pump? lol I'm sure most people on this post see that every day this time of year. And it's a crappy photo...

Wow we really did get out just in time....someone just sent me a picture of a frozen over, snow covered gas pump from the town we were just in. Yikes. And AZ just floods when it rains a lot....and a lot of rain here is next to nothing in comparison to other places.

Sounds like it was a blast! Glad to hear about the positive vibe from your friends. And that there weren't any large beasties out in the dark. :-)

A bunch of us went for a walk at night (dark!) to see how high the river was and I, of course, took my gun. One of the girls that I walk with often asked if I had my gun and I said, "yep" and another fellow walker said, "I love you" to me (lol) and then a 3rd said, "what? you have a gun? omg cool!"...the others didn't know I had it and we didn't announce it...although I doubt any of them would've really cared. The one I was mostly concerned with having a hissy over it ended up coming up later, after the river flooded, so she had to turn around and go home anyway. It was all good. We've actually said the weekend was "perfect"...even with the scary river. :)

No not a ferry situation. There's a cement bridge-like area just above the normal water level, (all roads are dirt) but it rained so much it went WAY above the cement part and the river was raging...we could hear it at the cabin. I'm sure if we had stayed longer not only would we have been under more water, but this morning I had ice on my windshield, so up there they had to have ice all over the place. Everything is on a hill of there..all the roads are steep, even the driveway was steep so we got out just in time. Crazy, but hysterically funny. (And I took my gun lol...sooooo glad I did too.)

You guys are funny :) Yes, we made it home okay but stayed longer than planned due to the river being so high and we couldn't get out. Thankfully, the neighbors ("the locals") said they could get us out, but not for long as more rain was coming so we did the mad scramble and packed up. They convoyed our vehicles across the river for us (how nice of them huh? Or did they just want us all the hell out of their area?? lol) So the ride across, in the deep water, was not fun at all, but we made it. :) And we had SOOOOO much fun while we were there it almost seemed illegal. Not to mention the location or the HUGE luxury castle/cabin we were in...(which we ended up renaming "the shit hole" on account of finding a tiny cobweb in a chandelier and a spider on the floor. lol The catch phrase was "this damned shit hole!" Maybe ya had to be there..) Anyway, thanks for asking. It was a great trip, but it's nice to be home. :)

BO was at an international meeting, was walking down a line of people, reaching his hand out to shake and not one of them would shake his hand. They avoided his hand and shook the guy next to him. The announcer was introducing Putin in the background, so I am thinking it was a UN meeting, but just guessing. Total anger on his face, at one point he put his hands up in the air like WTF.
