The financial incentives built into the perverse system encourage the best and brightest to seek employment in the financial "services" area. There they are trained to have no ethics, favor corruption to increase their bonuses, and that the only way to prosper is to cheat others. It perpetuates itself and destroys productive society.
Imagine if that combined creative genius was being encouraged with ethical entrepreneurial spirit. Mars would be a thriving colony and there would be dozens of habitats with people exploring the cosmos. No one would be hungry (or obese.) There would be so little to fear that government would be superfluous. OK, maybe that is naive.

They have lots of practice. Been stealing from Americans since 1913. They got the bailouts perfected and created the fiction of too big to fail in their lending activities to countries in South America. Then they brought the process home to directly attack and destroy the middle class.

Perhaps the employees are innocent; they just transferred funds into their accounts to frame them. No loose ends.
