Twitter must be run by some of the "omnipotent moral busybodies" Lucky mentioned here.
Me dino is content to do my "social messaging" in The Gulch and with a "pen pal" I have in my email.

You won't be able to get that tune out f your mind for hours unless you play something else ;^)
G&S's Mikado is another satire against the British Empire. Some great lyrics in those songs, too.
I wish that we had someone like G&S for critical popular satire when the Feds decided to attack Iraq and Afghanistan after 9-11. WMD's, bull.
What a terrible waste of trillions in irreplaceable resources and tens of thousands of fine young people.

True, it's really difficult to transmit satire with the mere writing of words...there is never enough exclamation points, asterisks or stars to get your point across...someone is always Not going to get it.

I recently got thrown off twitter for reciting a phrase the way we did in the old days, it was usually about ourselves: Yep, eat shit and die, except I was correcting someone that just said: Eat Shit, I informed them that it should be: Eat Schiff and Die...now the twitts thought I wished someone harm.
You know what?...THEY, can eat schiff and die...the boy is Poison!

Freedom, maybe I picked that up from you two or three years ago. Used to play that video snippet once a night. Old dino's memory forgot completely
about it until now. Today that major general made me think of a keener brighter "full of it" Biden.

"Tormenting America for its own good" should be a slogan of the entire know-it-all Jackass Party.

Good stuff. The quote from C.S. Lewis is worth repeating:

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
