Troy State University required me to take Economics 101 before me dino could get serious about a journalism major a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..
Well, I never got paid to learn it as has that lucky campaign staff working for Candidate Sanderized Socialism.
Wow, not only did they get a raise but some nice restful less hours too.

    At least you had someone looking out for you. During my 21 years of attending shift briefings as a state corrections officer, we were on three occasions told that the State Of Alabama was giving us a raise of an X amount.
    Each time we also heard "but Blue Cross" was giving itself a near identical raise with what it took out of our paychecks. It was that third time listening when my mind was telling me "wait for it, wait for it--THERE it is!"
    At least no politician getting Blue Cross donations could possibly snitch out our individual step raises for sticking around and being good little officers.

    Many long years ago, my employer gave me a pay raise just enough to bump me into a higher tax bracket. Actually I would be losing money. I refused the pay raise and when my boss man asked me why, my response was 'You are an Actuary, figure it out!' He did and raised holy hell until I got a real pay raise. He was also Exec. VP.
