Unfortunately, this is being introduced in the House where you can bet the Democrats will never allow it to see the light of day...

Well, I thought Republicans controlled the house for 2 years...

Oh, that's right. They did. And they SQUANDERED it!

I think that the bill allows for personal suing of decision-makers and clarifies that government entities can not invoke privilege to exempt themselves from such lawsuits.

Why do you need a bill for this?

Seems like an obvious basis for a case.

The leaders of these sanctuary cities and states need to be jailed for breaking the law. Let them sit in the cells with the illegals that they champion for a couple of weeks and then see if they still feel the same way.

My understanding is that this allows the individual policy makers to also be held responsible - a huge shift in legal thinking. Normally, they would be protected from such. This is akin to "piercing the corporate veil" in corporate legal theory.

People do not need the approval of of the House to sue. Anyone can bring a law suit against the city for any reason.

The other thing that they gain by all these illegals coming across is a rising level of criminal activity that Democrats can use as an excuse to impinge on the freedoms and liberties of the rest of us - and all because of their permission for illegals in the first place!

Why would the Jackass Party make anything uncomfortable for illegals who are voters/future voters/potential voters/voter fraud voters?
Staying in power is an end that justifies any means for these socialist wannabe commie political hack traitors.
If me dino had any power I'd be pushing for the prosecution of the criminal politicians who run sanctuary cities.
I do no understand why this violation of federal law has not come to pass already.

This is a sanctuary for criminals set up by criminals to politically re-elect those same criminals.

Any sane and law-abiding citizen should leave self-titled "sanctuary" cities because they place their preference not on their citizens but on illegal aliens.

"Victims could sue the jurisdiction if the illegal immigrant “benefited from a sanctuary policy of the sanctuary jurisdiction.” Another stipulation is that the victim “would not have been so injured or harmed but for the alien receiving the benefit of such sanctuary policy,” the bill says.

    That bill will never pass.

It'll never pass b/c it is just.

Of course illegals benefit from sanctuary cities.

The illegal who shot Kathryn Steinle in SF was deported five times but he sneaked back each time.

Do they benefit? By their own account they came here b/c they were told SF treats them well.

I'm sorry but I do not understand Sanctuary Cities. We got along just fine for years without them. I thought you went to Church for sanctuary. This whole idea befuddles me! is the Sanctuary for criminals or victims?
