Also do you include plants, insects, and/or fish in the category of all living things the government has to protect?

Yes, I do. Every living thing has rights.

I bet the real trick is to keep the kids from opening the pouches up before they get home. ;)

Where do you think rights come from? Or why we need them? Cause I thought they should be based on what a human needs to survive, with the most basic necessity being the ability to reason. Rights are about what a human needs to survive, his judgement. Any act that takes his judgement away from him infringes on his rights. I don't believe animals have rights. Maybe you can tell me what animals have a right to, so I can better understand your position. Can you define animal rights for me?

Uh... yes it is. Animals have rights just like humans do. Government needs to protect the rights of all living things, not just the rights of people.

It's not the governments job to protect animal rights. Protest all you want but don't get the government involved.

Who are the idiot who would buy something like this?

When I was a Custom Service Officer I was checking a ladies purse and she had a whole purse full of these little turtles. This was not the weirdest thing I found, and not in the weirdest place either.

I can't imagine enjoying watching the the little critter slowly die. and that's a pretty fast distribution/manufacturing turn around and limited shelf life-hardly seems worth it from a business perspective. that ones dead, so is that one, that one too-oh here's a live one!
