In her brain scrambled way, Tlaib says she was trying to say that the Palestinians saved many Jews by giving up their homeland. Unfortunately, even if that was what she was trying to say, it's a lie. There were some Arabs who welcomed the Zionist settlers who had turned a desolate environment into a productive land, but when the number of Jewish arrivals turned into a flood, they resisted. That became a big problem for the British, trying to keep the groups from killing each other.

When Israel declared itself as a new nation, the Arabs in that territory were warned by the surrounding Arab nations to evacuate, lest they become casualties of the impending slaughter. When the Israelis were successful in fighting off the Arab assault, Egypt, Jordan, and Syria could have welcomed the dislocated refugees, but instead they kept them in prison camps. Fed by propaganda that it was the Jews who put them in their sorrowful state, we have the angry mob that are called Palestinians.

Having talked face-to-face with an ex-PLO member, I can tell you that there is no such thing as a "Palestinian-American". It is a walking anachronism of cosmic proportions. You have to either be true and loyal to Constitutional principles or Islamic ones. I could also point out that "Palestine" as a nation isn't even recognized by most Muslim nations; oddly enough only their self-professed enemies the Jews and the United States actually recognize their sovereignty.

So let's just call Ms. Tlaib what she really is: an Islamic plant. Like Keith Ellison and Rep Omar. There is a reason they are Democrats: because they oppose the fundamental ideas that founded America and seek to overthrow them.

It's sad that these freshman congresspeople seem to be the anthesis of one who is truly educated and has any sense of moral decency. the old farts of the Dimm leadership are so frightened of them that they a totally paralyzed in reprimanding the freshman congresspeople. In fairness, Tlaib did not say "thinking about the Holocaust gave her "kind of a calming feeling.""
She said she had a “calming feeling” knowing that her ancestors had lost their land and their livelihoods in the creation of “a safe haven for Jews” after World War II. (not a quote, but NYTimes paraphrase)
The problem is: she doesn't recognize that her ancestors tried to exterminate ("drive them into the sea") the Jews in the 1948 invasion of Israel.

I don't think she has the right to say what she did. She needs to be removed from office - NOW! What if I wanted to say, "You know what gives me a calming feeling? Putting a bullet through Tlaib's head!" (?) Would I have the "right" to say that? Her hateful, incendiary rhetoric is what incites people to action. And what if some Jewish person decided to take "pre-emptive action" against someone who seems to be promoting the idea of "The Final Solution" all over again. I think we're headed for war. I'm not sure when the shooting will start, but we're headed in that direction.
