Most of the Florida Senate and House are republican. They have a conservative Republican Governor. If you get out of Southern Fl and the Atlantic coastal counties up near Jax you will find relatively conservative people populating the region or so it was when I lived down there.
Miami Dade thinks it runs the state but not really. If that was true there never would be a republican elected in a statewide race.
