Alabama governor signs restrictive abortion bill into law as ACLU vows to sue

The new law is exceedingly strick on who may have an abortion and under what conditions.
The ACLU has vowed to fight the law. OK do so. But the best way to fight the law is to elect people who will revoke or modify the law. Too many times cases go to court when the Left (or Right) can't get the electoral power to pass the legislation. the House and Senate in the state of Alabama passed this law and the governor signed it. this was not a hidden bill passed at the last minute with no discussion or publicity. It was well known. the people of Alabama at least implicitly supported it. If they don't like it get an issue put on the ballet.
The ACLIU is not doing this for Alabama. They are doing it to get another ruling by the SCOTUS upholding Roe V Wade. It is all politics.

So what the ACLU vows to sue? This bill was only signed to challenge Roe V Wade in the Supreme Court.
Sweet home Alabama where the sky is so blue.

Before all the crazies scream about, "Oh my God! They are going to reverse Roe v Wade." So what? Roe v Wade just explained what we already knew. 'Inherent rights'. Read the Constitution!

I actually never understood Row V Wade. I'm unequivocally in support of women's rights. In the case of fetus' supposed rights vs a person's right, it seems reasonable (although I would strongly disagree) to hold the fetus' supposed right to life as paramount. IANAL, but it seems AL has a right to make this (bad) judgement call. People have a Constitutional right to travel and help people travel. I actually don't care if they have their kids learn to write with Bible tracts funded by local tax dollars, as long as they don't establish an official religion.
