Can't Believe What I'm Seeing

Hard for me to get into this with specifics. Let's say the Science Institute asked Hank Rearden for a list of everybody he ever sold Rearden Metal to. Hank refused, citing that at the time he didn't break any laws. So, they published news stories saying Hank sold his metal for money, literally saying he "monetized" it. So, for not handing over his list of clients he'll be thrown in jail. This is exactly what I'm seeing done with somebody I once worked with...a brilliant guy. Have been speaking with a few friends today about this, including one of the clients. I think I'm seeing a massive violation...something historic. Seeing a good guy, brilliant professional being taken away...it's not something I thought I'd see this soon in America.

My friend who is getting the shaft?...GoFundMe banned him in his attempt to collect donations for his legal expenses. He's broken no laws.

Gosh, Abaco, help us out a bit here. You tell us "something happened" that would be upsetting and offer an illustration of what "it" might be like, but can't, for some reason, offer any details of what "it" really is. I see this was put up three days ago without any additional information. C'mon help us out here a bit.

What happens when your government regulatory agencies get cozy with those they are supposed to be regulating? If your eyes are open you already know the answer. There are little hints in recent news on this.

This is getting ugly. I'm close to going completely under the radar at this point.

I think we might see some clients locked up, too. Can't say much about this at this time. In my example: Hank Rearden has received a subpoena to turn over his list of clients, even though no laws have been broken. He either does that and the clients get attacked or he doesn't and he goes to jail. I think he's going to jail. No laws broken. Nobody harmed in any way.

This sounds like the SSI and company are here. Are you able to provide a little more info as to what industry and the particular product in question? I fully understand if you cannot do so. Just asking for a little more info on context and possible impacts of these types of actions. Are the impacts immediate or more long tesm. that sort of thing.
I am truly sorry you witnessed such a thing in this country. Like you I thought such things might be coming but hoped against hope they were far far in the future.
    +1
