An extraordinary situation which was handled out of fear, not according to law. Reminds me of "Escape from Los Angeles".

It was an extraordinary situation. Students blocked the exits to keep anyone from escaping. The cops were actually ordered to stand down. Some professors try to talk to the students. The students basically told them to sit down and shut up. They did. It seems that only one professor was even brave enough to sue the college afterwards.

What boggles my mind is why everyone involved didn't get convicted for kidnapping. If I'm a teacher in that situation, I'm immediately calling the cops and reporting it as a kidnapping. That gets the FBI involved and federal felony charges on these jackasses.

Funny, I can tell whether my cat is pissed off by the tone of his meeoows. If he wants his special wet food, he will engage in long "conversations" and I know exactly what he wants.

    “They?”
I would say that (most) animals do have emotions such as caring, fear and rage. They do not have high levels of reasoning.

they say animals dont have emotion. I would disagree totally with that. I would say its more like they have ONLY emotion. At least my two pet bulls and one british blue cat are like that.

To am emotionally driven and controlled person, logic is something to be ignored at best, or thought of as evil at worst.

I saw the precursors of this stuff over 50 years ago at my college. Somebody, some anonymous group, organized a civil rights march. WE ALL JOINED IN! Did our college or our town have any sort of "racist" problem? Nobody asked that question.

We were all to assume that we were doing a good thing by helping oppressed people. Ours was a Christian college, and putting Christian charity into helping the anonymous oppressed was a Good Thing.

About the same time I read Atlas Shrugged and began to get a better sense of what was happening.

Evergreen illustrates one facet of Rand's "Sanction of the Victim."

First rule of kidnapping / hostage taking:
Kill your kidnapper / hostage taker at the first opportunity.

    Second rule: re-read rule #1

They will not go into the business world. They will go into politics. AND they will likely get elected.

Great movie, but I doubt many burgeoning AOC's associate the movie with their behavior.

Are you kidding? There would be some broken joints and maybe bones if they didn't let me leave with who ever I wanted to bring with me. Another reason I have a license to carry (which I shouldn't have to).

Of course college and parents bought this on themselves.

" Leftists, it seems, can't stand to see somebody existing completely beyond their control, uninfluenced by their whims... "

And with that one statement, you illustrate their entire mindset. It never has been about guns, or the environment, or anything else other than control.
+1 for saying it so well.

Teaching students that the only thing that matters is power to control others doesn’t have any consequences does it.
    (extreme sarcasm)

It’s like the school is purposely programming these students to be spoiled brats that are perpetually angry against the world.

Yeah, that comment in the video was much worse. That crazy kid was actually saying the staff members could either bow down or stay home...not granting permission (for the lack of a better term) for them to just friggin do their jobs and go about their day. Frankly, it was bullying. I see this kind of thing in California all the time. But, I'm like a bull in a china shop here - as many on this forum could appreciate, I'm sure. I live my life how I want and do what I want, even often saying what I want. There are people around here who have a deep hatred of me for it. Leftists, it seems, can't stand to see somebody existing completely beyond their control, uninfluenced by their whims...

    I think it is "Idiocracy".

We have been well into that process for a long time.

Just look at the demographic data of developed and developing (e.g. backward) countries.

It is organized and according to plan. Consider the EU's push to flood the continent with high proliferation colored people to displace the whites.

Frightening isn't it? If they run companies the way they run their lives we will cease to have any economic power within 25 or so years.

And some societies become extinct sooner than others. The logic of destruction over production assures this.

I'm not sure there is a "Basic Logic O Civilization". Perhaps it is just way worldview that isn't working right but If there was a logic one could determine the why and wherefore of the deeds of the various societies and cultures that have permeated the history of mankind.
The only logic I have been able to acertain is the logic of destruction. All cultures, all civilization fall into ruin and waste. Most of history indicates that humanity is a wild savage and likes it that way. There are some bright lights the blume and folrish for a time, but all fade and become extinct.

Imagine your kids saying, “Dad, you will not talk!!! You have two choices! You can either stay in your house or leave your house! Those, are your only two choices!“

When I see the snowflakes attacking/bullying those educators I want to jump up and shout, "End these stupid comments! Combat them with logic!" They don't. They just stand or sit there slouching like a kid who's getting bad grades or something. I just don't get it. The final comments are excellent. It points out that by allowing such stupidity to go unchecked we're creating a fertile field to grow something very dangerous. When I hear those young people and what they're saying I can't help but think, "Who raised these kids?" Was there a father figure? This is really sad to watch... I care a lot about young people. Because of that, I've done some coaching, chaperone activities, mentoring young engineers, etc. It's not easy these days. To point out a failure before a young person stumbles completely into it takes energy. But, I do it because I care. So, this video pains me...
