For a while, when I was writing, I used Dictionary.com regularly. Curiosity compelled me to lookup the word "conservative" only to discover it to be defined as stuck in the past, resistant to change, counter to progress, regressive, etc. There was nothing about saving for or preserving anything.

I wrote to Dictionary.com, uninstalled their search bar, and began using thefreedictionary.com instead.

@AJAshinoff WOW, pretty blantant. Did dictionary dot com respond? Just curious. I know that they won't change their politics from a few emails.

No, they never replied to the email I sent. In fairness I only waited a few days before moving on. I just looked, it's less targeted now and more reasonably descriptive. Maybe someone at http://Dictonary.com got a clue.

        Conversely:
        "liberal

IMHO, the word "progressive" in contemporary political terms is just another word for "Marxist". Therefore, if you re-read AJ's post, the definition of "liberal" has a more correct meaning such as the line "...noting or pertaining to a political party advocating measures of progressive political reform." would be properly interpreted as "...noting or pertaining to a political party advocating measures of Marxist political reform."

Following up on that, any politician boasting to be a progressive is simply admitting to being a Marxist.

Yes, the progressives want to redefine the language to their advantage, but two can play that game!

Textbook example of playing the long game. Most kids are online addicts, if this is what you see from the time you can read and you have no urge to verify it, your mind is unchangeable. That` s the goal. It is what makes national media and the communists a very real threat.

Yep yep yep yep yep. I am thinking along those lines. AOC and her lot did not come out of nowhere. I think they are more like sleepers and have been activated. Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but in a sense they are being activated. All of that leftist schooling and all of the leftists finally in the right positions of power, and now it is time to unleash the nutty youth upon us.

    Greetings all,
Merriam-Webster's dictionary on my phone is a bit more forgiving.

The third definition is, "not liking or accepting changes or new ideas".

The first definition cites maintaining traditional values. In my opinion both are utter nonsense.

Conservatives can be as, or more likely, more forward-thinking than any of the so-called "Progressives". There are too many examples to mention them here though you get the idea.

AOC and company are looking forward to the return of the sixth century, or earlier.

    Buy candles stock. Now!!!

    pusillanimous adjective
    pu·sil·lan·i·mous | \ ˌpyü-sə-ˈla-nə-məs also ˌpyü-zə-
Definition of pusillanimous: lacking courage and resolution : marked by contemptible timidity

Examples of pusillanimous in a Sentence
pusillanimous politicians who vote according to whichever way the political wind is blowing

    I wouldn't call it a quality.

If I had been writing for the dictionary, I would not have pulled a quote that mentioned a group that has a large number fragile people who feel like victims. I would have found another example. I truly mean that. If you know someone is hyper-sensitive, I think it's contemptible to trigger them on purpose.
