Sounds like a new addendum to "The Creature from Jekyll Island".

Yes, it all goes back to the treason of 1913.
Unfortunately, the writer of the article, a statist, wants government to offer public banks and doesn't understand that the banking cartel in all forms must be destroyed. Another case of government creating a problems and saying that the solution is more government.

So the banks are just a front for the Fed?...that's my take on this anyway.

I think the truth is the fed is a front for the banks. The interest goes to the commercial banks and into the pockets of their looter executives, who then feed it back to elect politicians who will dance to the tune played by the elitist banking cartel.
      Cui Bono?

        Hello Freedom!
I've been busy, yet thought your comment could use some additional info.
        https://www.hannenabintuherland.com/e...

I've not vetted the source or info to any extreme, yet some of this information is of record. It raises cautious attention to the connections between institutions of corporate facade.

And I wonder.....about how we learn. A child, raised in a micro-culture of wealth / privilege / power may never be exposed to the "Values" of "Life" as Rand eloquently stated in The Objectivist's Ethics. What if these folks have only known narcissism as a valued way of their lives? This raises far too many questions in my already gyrating mind.

The only path I see out of the global debacle of continuing conflict is to define a place of commonality of all life, that regardless of cultural beliefs, we may attend to a simplicity beyond all this complexity as an objective statement of Value. In keeping with thematic of this forum.....as Atlas Shrugged is to The Objectivist's Ethics.

Their are vagaries in the above, as I've not worked out the nuances in my pre-writing as yet. Yet the essence of how human relations may be expressed and taught are coming of clarity .....just missing some key word-symbol expressions yet.

Well I had to pause this morning when I heard 'the Millenials' are buying Weed Stock (Charlotte's Web) and Bitcoin...they don't consider Tech stocks or such!

Unfortunately, you may be witnessing the next generation of multimillionaires. Even Trump has suggested he's open to decriminalizing marijuana, and all of the Democrat possibles heartily endorse the idea. If that happens, the banks will eagerly handle electronic transactions for the weed industry, which they don't now. That, I think will become a booming investment value.

As for Bitcoin, I still think of it as worse than a Ponzi scheme. It seems to be based on the bogus economic theory of "Modern Monetary" management, which is the ultimate fiat money delusion. It holds that fiscal value should be based purely on trust and faith, not real assets like gold. It's unnerving how many people have bought into this (excuse me) crap, including all of the Democrat political figures who say national debt is meaningless, because the government can just print lots more money to pay off debt. When I hear that, all I can think of is Venezuela's situation, with valueless currency blowing down the streets, or Weimar Germany, with people pushing wheelbarrows of near worthless Deutschmarks to buy a single loaf of bread.

The last time money was printed by government without creating more debt via the banking cartel was done by JFK (silver certificates.) That lesson was learned and will not be repeated unless a violent revolution destroys the banking cartel, imo.

...and when you deposit your money in the bank, it is no longer YOUR money, but belongs to the bank and the FED...they only choose (for now) to give it back to you to pay your bills...

Things have gotten progressively worse since the big bank meeting in Basil, Switzerland several years ago. After tht, the Fed started giving banks all these money, stings to follow. One investment banker actually told me they did not need our money, as the Fed gave them all they need. Thus CD rates plummeted.Just their way of controoling us.
