Classic Beck....he paints a picture.Sometimes with my little bb brain I try to read a book with multiple characters that flow in and out of the dialog and I have to go back10 or 12 pages to refresh who so & so character was. With the chalkboard and magnetic board the picture grows in front of you. I can then look to see who and what. It is like a puzzle. All the little pieces in the box that only make sense current/future when fully assembled. It can be used to define how other players/pictures fit together.
I pretty much stopped following. Beck a couple of years ago. I still have some saved chalkboard shows he did in the past.
