Bureaucrats destroy any hope of common sense. My wife has undergone several back surgeries, and the surgeon says any more would be counterproductive, as she obviously has osteoporosis. however, when I asked her GP about giving her a prescription for the disorder, she told me she couldn't without giving my wife a bone density test. Why? Because the Medicare rules say a bone density test is required. Forget about several CT scans that show the weakened bones, because some bureaucrat thinks doctors' own experience and deductive reasoning aren't sufficient. There are many more examples like this.
"[They] meddle. People don't like to be meddled with. [They] tell them what to do, what to think. Don't run, don't walk. They're in our homes and in our heads and they haven't the right." - River Tam, "Serenity" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-alz...
It is not easy, but you need to shop until you find someone who will understand you have money, are not paying by insurance, and you want service. Whenever we need a new provider, we have to search for one who understands we're paying and making the decisions. It's a challenge not to become frustrated.
It would make more sense, and be safer to the public, to have "Obamasandwich". With this program I propose that everybody has to eat a government sandwich for lunch everyday. The cost will go up after we pass the proposal by telling you it's "free". You have a right to a sandwich every day. You have no say regarding what goes in the sandwich...just trust us that it's good for you. Oh, and we would like access to your bank accounts...just because.
I while back, I registered the domain name ShitSandwichCare.com [uppercase emphasis added here]. The fellow taking my information at the time said I made his day. I've since let the domain registration lapse, keeping only my very out-of-date StalinCare domain.(.com and .org). Someday, when I have a lot of free time, I'll update the site.
If, as reported, costs of medicare will go up, healthcare will go down, wait times will increase, and we don't have enough money to fund it, is true.... Kill their idea! See? Easy.
What you say was true about the entire plan and continues to be true abut the revised (Through court decisions and Congressional action) I don't really see any reason not to kill it now.
My health insurance really makes sense. You have a Primary Health Care physician, but you can self-refer to any specialist in the panel (and it's a big panel). You don't have to wait for confirmation. Unless it is for a surgery or involved procedure. But for visits you can pick and choose. No copay. Doctors in panel share info on patient. Very convenient..

Yeah...that would make more sense to me...
The left will fight to the death to stop this.
