Societies continuing down the path we have chosen (or tolerated) have not stopped their advance. Governments have not engaged in widespread domestic spying and enacted extraordinary emergency powers and enabling laws and then stopped there. It is not the nature of power. The impulse to control others, the "will to power," to borrow from Nietzsche, doesn't suddenly vanish.
Click on the categories button at the top of the screen and select a category and you will find many threads you may contribute to. In so doing, you may even bring an old thread back to life. You may also start a new thread of your own on any topic you wish using the blue submit post button and start your own discussion group as people contribute to it and interact with you. There are many contributors nowadays so do not be discouraged if your first submissions do not garner desired attention. Keep trying, interacting with others and have fun!
