I know the topic on everyone's mind is the Federal debt, but what many do not know is just how bad the US consumer debt has also skyrocketed. What does this mean for the economy? It could mean huge problems - especially if interest rates rise.

Oh, but see you understand that one's payments should never exceed one's income. Our fearless government leaders somehow disassociate those two notions as soon as they are certified the winners in their respective elections. One need look no further than such idiotic comments as "We Don’t Have A Spending Problem, We Have A Paying-For Problem."

I heard on the news that the IRS collected over one trillion (that's a 'T') from individual filings in 2018. That's just from individuals. We shouldn't have a National Debt. It's easy. Quit spending on waste! And just why do we have so many Federal employees?

Everyone is gonna want one! Not me. I hate the very idea of carrying a phone around. I am glad my phone connects to my car radio because it is convenient. But for all other occasions, I turn it off. I would never answer a phone in a restaurant!

Be careful, they are coming out with a phone that costs $2000 and expands to fold out into a Tablet!

If you look at the numbers, it is a nationwide problem. They just reported it locally.

I was wondering about the phones myself.

I am seeing people on the street with high end phones and it seems EVERYONE has it.

Regarding the car delinquencies: the article details how people are going for too many extras which drives up the monthly payments. It is easy to reach for the sky but you may plummet to Earth when your ladder is not long enough.

Is this a nationwide phenomenon or covers only NY State?

More often than not, a symptom of wanting instant gratification and the best. But how else can people afford those shinny new $1000 iPhones?

Notice how the very ideas of individual responsibility, and that your individual choices which you make mostly determine your future, are being attacked quite viciously.
