Yeah, right... but not likely. Consider other movies and TV series... when an actor/actress conveys the essence of the character they're playing convincingly, audiences keep coming back. I think it's a formula/process that works well and explains a lot about why some remakes or sequels with the same characters do well and some remakes don't.

Consider, for examples, the Die Hard series if a different lead came with every episode. Or the James Bond movies, where Sean Connery set the bar so high that several subsequent actors just couldn't compare. Although, over the decades, several did do well.

    Your Mileage May Vary....

I have been Dagny since I was 19 - 43 years now. I fixed broken businesses, or was on a team for big business start up. Necessarily medically retired, but I do miss the moving, shaking, and fast-tracking so much.

I have been a Rand follower for many years and have read AS many times, always getting something new from the text.
But I am bitterly disappointed with the changes in cast through the series. I believe it pays to choose right the first time round and follow that theme when developing a character.
Can't wait for 3 to finally arrive though.....it has been a while guys.

I've come to think it's awesome that they didn't keep the same cast. Its not about an actor, it's about the characters in the story, and any of us could be any of them... Choose wisely.

I love the book and the movies. I only wish you had been able to keep the original cast through all three sequels of the movie. In-spite of that it's been good.
