Jane Roe, whom we now know as Norma McCorvey, was just 21 years old when she became pregnant for the third time and sought an abortion in the state of Texas. Texas law, however, stated that a woman could only undergo an abortion if the mother’s life was at risk. McCorvey was put in contact with two lawyers, Linda Coffee and Sarah Weddington, who were looking for a pregnant woman to help them build a case to legalize abortion. McCorvey lied and said she had been raped. That lie became the basis for the legal fight against the District Attorney of Dallas County, Henry Wade. The lawyers knew that the case would never be finished in time for McCorvey to get an abortion and she ended up giving birth and placing the child for adoption. McCorvey not only admitted later on that she had lied about being raped, but she became pro-life and worked to end legal abortion up until her death in 2017.

About 25 or 30 years ago,(as I recall) there was a case in the Richmond area of 2 or 3 women getting together and getting a retarded woman drunk and setting her on fire. (I believe she died all right). In fact, I knew someone who said that one of the perps was her half-sister. (I don't recall that she made any attempt to defend her half-sister's conduct, either). paper. I think it was some attempt at some kind of insurance fraud.
But nobody attempted, so far as I know, to prosecute the crime as a "hate crime". Why?

So if the murderers and the victim were all of the same color and ethnicity, it couldn't be a "hate crime", could it? So if the motive was not racial hate, and merely a desire to get unearned money, it was not a hate crime, was it?--And how much consolation do you suppose that was to the poor retarded woman burning alive?--Murder is murder.--And, as I said, a crime is a crime.

Why don't they wait to pronounce their verdict until they know the facts? Yes I know they need to be first out with the headline but that does not excuse such crappy journalism (if it can be called that) on the part of news organizations. Get the facts and tell the truth. You will be much better served if you do that.
