Why education should not be a Federal thing

This is what happens when the Federal government meddles in what should be local affairs. Texas' policies are subject to the voters of Texas - not DC politicians.

    I've always said that the feds should have zero involvement in public education. The last few years I have concluded that government should have zero involvement. Why are they in this business?

    It does provide a great way for the First Lady to dictate cafeteria menus, though! (Which didn't work out at all except for people who collect wasted food...)

    Well, I have long thought the Department of Education was redundant! We have our local school boards and state. Why should we have Federal interference? I think money is being wasted and then we have to pass bond issues.
