Political Correctness gives me a headache! I don't think one person can honestly decide if another person is being politically correct or not. It is, in many cases, a gray area. And at times we all make utterances we wish we hadn't.

I think that in order to save this country, there will have to be more strength in the home-school movement; public education needs to be abolished. (I mean that's what the people need; I don't care what public education needs).

Some years ago, three females got together in the Richmond area, (from what I remember of the news reports), got a mentally retarded woman drunk, and set her on fire. The motive for the murder was, apparently some attempt at an insurance scam. But I did not hear that that crime was classified as a "hate crime". The perpetrators and the victim were all of the same race. Did that make it any less hateful?--But that is the new collectivist mentality.

You would think it would be a good lesson for everyone everywhere. A lesson none should have to relearn.

The “6 million” Jews who were exterminated were in denial if the reality of nazi collectivism. A good lesson for us here

Einstein’s theories conflicted with the purity of German science. He realized what was happening and fled to America. A nation where individual rights were mostly respected.

Thanking everyone who commented. It means a great deal, to me. My article obviously isn't going to be published in major media, so knowing that intelligent and honest people are discussing it makes all the difference. Keep an eye on www SavvyStreet dot com for additional article, although most of the time we quickly and happily re-post them here.

Fortunately we arent YET at the point where being politically incorrect gets you imprisoned or killed. As I remember, that was the point where AR said to abandon the country.

Currently, being politically incorrect gets your high profile career taken away, and potentially imprisoned if the charges are sexual in nature. I no longer care what people think of me, and I dont need them relative to a career. I make sure I am careful to not be alone with women or children, so I am not really afraid of being politically incorrect at this time

Me dino is very, very sad and bad by PC standards.. I would not attend a memorial service for a transgender unless I knew him (what I'd call a born him) or her (what I'd all a born her) personally.
Did ya read what me dino just wrote? How insensitive! Imagine all the bawling snowflakes that would send scrambling to hide in safe zones with their coloring books!
Even if I did know the really for real him or her, I may not go at all with an openly gay Episcopalian priest officiating.
See? Me a bad bad dino don't wanna hear what such a priest has to say.
Worst of all, the very concepts of a Gay Men's Chorus and most especially a lesbian Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence made me dino laugh long and hard.
What a terrible person I am! I deserve for Antifa to come and beat me up. Hmm, they probably would wanna do it too, come to think of it.

This reminds me of a Jewish person refusing to be controlled by the ideology of National Socialism. His name was Einstein.

It is catering to people's feelings instead of truth that has created the mess our society is in. If your self-worth is so tied up in what other people think about you rather than in your pursuance of ideals, you really need to go home and re-examine your life, because you are allowing other people to manipulate and control you.

PC is evil. I should be able to say whatever I think. If chris rock, a famous black comedian, can say “there’s black people and then there’s niggers”- others should be able to say the same without being accused of aggression

He was making a point that there are good and bad black people, and people understood that.

I am tired of political correctness and refuse to be controlled by it

If we ever get to a point were we all stop counting because someone might be offended it could be the end of math, and everything else related.

Johnny: “Look teacher I counted 10 fingers!”
Teacher: “You wicket boy!!! You have terribly offended Susie who has only got nine! Say you’re sorry in front of the whole class and promise you will never do it again!”

    :(

Singling her out? You must be joking.

It was an innocent game and there was no reason for her to be offended.

My point was that people can get offended for all kinds of "reason" of their own which are actually no reasons. They are preferences used to attack anyone who may be outside of their emotional sphere and it makes the working environment (in this case) more stifling.

This "incident" stayed in the memory of all of us as we were more careful approaching her from there on. She was a snowflake, finding a problem when there was none and it diminished her standing among us because if reflected on her insecurity.

You never found out how it made her feel. It would be good to know. Most likely it was a misunderstanding. It was just random you chose a trait she didn't have. They could have gone to rolling tongue, detached ear lobe, and blood Rh factor. I think that's so important. I have no idea whatsoever what PC means, but I think it's really important to express what you mean.

Without more details, we don't know if you were actually singling her out, if she was falsely suggesting it, or if it was just an honest misunderstanding. People need to talk, even about feelings.

Your response was good , no need to stir the hornets nest. It is not the color of your eyes but what your eyes see , and that is all that matters to the beholder.

They are opposed to everything...including themselves and are not open to discussion...it means nothing to them.

They need to fall on their faces a few times, no one to blame but themselves and perhaps they will wake up.
If they don't, then they are a lost cause, defective, truly not human.

They only represent 8% or less of the western population, here to fore referred to as: The Mob.

    Yes.

Believers in PC don't realize that by limiting what can and can't be said in public put a limit on meaningful dialogue. Luckily, in corporate life you can get away from it by sticking to the subject matter at hand.

But even there, let me bring an example of poisonous PC.

In my group, there are several young people and playful as they are, one of them came up with the question: "How many have blue eyes in the group?"
They frequently do this, to ease the doldrum of daily workload.

As it happened, all of us (6 in the group) had blue eyes. We happily concluded it until one of the woman, not part of the group but having her cubicle next to ours (she is Indian by birth, a lovely person with dark complexion) said: "What do you think that makes me feel?" She had brown eyes.

Everybody froze. Then I said: "Well, we could have had it the other way around by asking who had brown eyes?

The group agreed with me and that was the end of it. But at Google we may have been expelled.

I see, more and more, that Objectivism is the only extant reply to Postmodernism across the full range of issues and with complete consistency. That by no other philosophy is Postmodernism opposed fundamentally and without compromise.
