In our town, luckily for me, we have a very large number of new brewpubs. I love all the different beers. I've brewed my own for a long time. Just find it fun and fascinating...and delicious. Beer is best shared with others and, in my mind, had nothing to do with skin color or sexual pastimes. Then, in doing my investment research I stumbled upon this stupid story in Marketwatch. What's next? A story about how transexuals are taking up trout fishing? Maybe I just need a beer. But...this doesn't make sense to me. So you're an out-of-the-norm person who brews beer. Congrats. I hope your beer is good.

Marketwatch has a lot of stupid articles, both on finance and other subjects. It seems like a progressive outlet.

Another "women and minorities" privileged business startup...big deal!

She'll get the same chances to either succeed or fair, as everyone else, though her failure will probably be blamed on some imaginary racist/sexist reason, rather than poor business practices...kinda like with failed Presidential hopefuls.

n physics, a color is visible light with a specific wavelength. Black and white are not colors because they do not have specific wavelengths. Instead, white light contains all wavelengths of visible light. Black, on the other hand, is the absence of visible light.

    Sip on this Tanisha

Miller Light, in the eyes of this beer snob, isn't all that bad. It's the sleeper in the bevy of domestic, light swill. I always make sure I have a nice IPA in the fridge.

Me dino was drinking Miller Light up until I visited Dobrien's parents in the Florida Panhandle two summers ago.
Doibrien's father treated me to a Yuengling beer, advising that it came from the oldest brewery in America.
Me dino drinks Yuengling Light now. It's a lot better than Miller Light or any other light beer in my experience.
And if I can't have Yuengling Light, I'll take an even better tasting Yuengling if there is any.

I have no objection to trans people if they behave, but I'm tired of hearing about them. My first reaction to a story like that is to laugh and ask what that reporter was thinking.

If grown adults want to drink beer (or other alcoholic beverages), that is their business--provided they don't get drunk, being under some obligation to be sober (cab driver, behaving decently to other family members in the home, doctor on duty, police officer on duty, driving a car, etc.). But, not wanting to do myself any brain damage, I leave all that stuff alone. Beer, wine, champagne, or rotgut, it's all booze to me, and I leave it alone.
However, I don't know why a person's race should have anything to do with it, one way or the other.
I think I did once read a theory that drinking alcohol could do more damage to a woman than to a man--I think it had something to do with a woman's body being smaller than a man. (Whether the theory was true or not, I don't know).

I agree with you. To me, one's sexuality choice doesn't mean a hill of beans to me. You either brew a good beer that people like to drink, or you don't. Good on her if she's able to contribute in a positive manner to the American economy. To me, it's just that simple.

Maybe my shock is because I live on the left coast(?) A lesbian couple on my street are a couple of my regular drinking buddies. One of them took some time to warm up to me (probably prejudice...so be it). Great girls, though. And, they like good red wine... Maybe I was touchy at the end of a long work day when I saw that article. I just didn't understand why it was written with that angle. She's probably somebody I'd love to hang with. The author/editor is the stooge...

My daughter explained to me why it's sometimes hard for the butch side of a lesbian couple to warm up to hetero males. As she's observed, the fem side of a lesbian couple is often bisexual, in and out of relationships with both sexes, so her partner has not only to worry about other butch competition, but also males who might attract her partner away. Once the butch member is satisfied a hetero male isn't a "predator" they can relax and enjoy the company.

Makes sense. The fem half of my freind couple is a lovely lady. They’re both very nice. Now that we’re comfortable I did tell the butch half that her wife is a “hottie” and she happily agreed.

I’m friends with a lovely Eretrian lady who confided w me that she’s a lesbian. It’s my opinion that women from Eretria are possible the most beautiful in the world. They are truly a gift. When she told me she had a wife I said “Aren’t women wonderful?” And we’ve been close friends ever since.
