His have taken a beating , we have never witnessed a President attacked like he is. We will see what his plan is. RBG and a locked Supreme Court is in the future.
This is an “Uncivil War “ being waged.

No one has ever witnessed anything like the attacks on our President. Even my cousin, who I consider was a 'do nothing' President. It makes me ill just looking at these people. A young red-neck friend of mine (makes the best Bar B Q in Texas) told me today it makes him sick watching the news. He's a big Texas guy. When are they going to stop? Even if you dislike or disagree with the guy, he is our elected President. Guess what! I couldn't agree with anything Obama or Clinton said or did, nor Nixon, good grief! But I kept my mouth shut and I didn't see anyone acting up showing their rear ends like Pelosi and Schumer. Who do they think they are?

Whatever we call it, the left is enjoying it.

Anything to extend the gridlock and prevent Trump from implementing his strategy.

The greatest peril is that they are getting away with doing nothing. They are elected pols who have a responsibility to their constituents.

It is another thing what these "constituents" are b/c they are sending illiterate people to Congress and even agree with their abusive "policies".

Lets see, from a negotiation standpoint.
He gave them a TEMPORARY reprieve, while they "Promised" to negotiate if he did it.

Trouble for the Dems. If they fail to negotiate in Good Faith, then he wins. THEY OWN the next shutdown, an I would hope he shuts it down for good! Honestly, I would forewarn the individuals that if you are not a critical resource, PLEASE find another job, there are plenty out there. Now is the time to be interviewing!

And we know the Dems don't want a deal. They wont negotiate in good faith. And who is that going to hurt in the end?

Trump OWNED this shutdown, and showed the Dems don't care, and would not play fair.

When he gave them something they asked for, they squandered it. (And if they don't squander it, then we all win)...

I think it's pretty good Chess!

We are in a war an “Uncivil War” . The attacks are coming from an entrenched Deep State That owns the media +++
President Donald J Trump , This man is the only elected President who is committed to taking down these Kakistocrats. The smears and horrid attacks he and his family have endured is unprecedented. They never thought the hag would lose , they were reckless careless or what ever. The slanderous scum often comes from people who were attracted to his presence in the past.
Will we win ? Can he do it? I think that it is possible. Do we want to support his efforts to shine a light on this dark evil opposition resistance he fights . I say hell yes and I am in. Will we win every move and counter move. Probably not, but Trump has had 2 years to t@ke down a corrupt system that has infiltrated the most influential institutions (100 years in the making). We could be witnessing a modern day tale of David and Goliath.

He agreed to a bill to fund the government without any funding for the wall. If that is a negotiating technique it looks more like weakness than strength. It's long past time to get tough on the scum; just when it appeared he was finally doing so, he gives in.

“It looks more like weakness” A military tactic is to let your opponent think you are weak. The fight Trump and the patriots are in is for much more than the wall. He is not looking for a bandaid so the next corrupt looter can reopen the wounds.
This is a global Cabal with many many tentacles, if you focus on only one you can be choked by another. Expect more False Flag events. Oh and by the way a huge plan of terror was stopped the other day.

As I have said before, I sincerely hope you are right and that we see some results soon. The only thing that has any chance of awakening the brainwashed millions is incontrovertible evidence of guilt of the real looters and severe punishment of the guilty after an open trial. The longer that takes the more entrenched and brainwashed they become, and the weaker the support for Trump. The house should never have fallen into the hands of the obvious statists.

The FISA Declass brings down the house.
The delicate successful surgery requires cutting and stitching with out killing the patient. Radiation follows. We all know the seditious treason against the country . Everyone that knows ........wants the hammer to come down hard. Trump is for the first time mounting a counter attack against the Deep State and they are dug in. I am thankful someone is actually trying to root them out.

I'll be thankful when there is evidence of successful prosecution. Meantime, I'll try to be hopeful after centuries of falsehood from the GOP and Dems.

          Yes, it looks that way.

Unless Trump has something up in his sleeve, he gave in like other Reps have in the past.

My view of the shutdown is that the other side was never going to negotiate or give in to what they view as "terrorism" against the state. Imo, Trump should have known this and used it against them by laying off 2/3 of the bureaucrats that were not vital, leaving 1/3 to perform any work the entire bunch did before. Let the statist looters scream until the 2nd coming, but never give in. Compromise has taken away most of the limits against government power provided by the constitution. Buy more ammunition and get ready for a long siege if you really want to regain liberty.

I see it as you do.

Trump may have given in to show he is willing to compromise, but he gained nothing by doing so.

If he cracks down 3 weeks from now, it'll lose its effect b/c the left will have time to prepare, which they will, but not to negotiate.

Unless this move was planned by Trump, being aware of the mindset of the left, it is difficult to see how he can turn it into a gain.

I was thinking that it was not a good move, but X22 makes a good point: He gives them 3 weeks, he gets the Coast Guard paid (takes care of military) he gets the troublesome TSA people paid (takes care of whiny travelers), he appears presidential and willing to compromise, he also appears strong and committed and not a party hack (how many conservatives and so called supporters hammered him (including Ann Coulter)?), and in three weeks, when they have not negotiated or fixed it, he can take action and drop the hammer. Overall, I think it was a brilliant move, if you consider that one of the premises of the deep state conditioning is that people are more malleable after a deep shock, he just shocked 800K federal employees that there really is a new sheriff in town, and if you screw with him, you may lose big.

                  Does anything shock zombies? ;^)
Would George Patton have given these looting commies anything?
I think the situation requires a Patton, not a Chamberlain. That has been true at least since 1964 when we had a chance to elect a patriot. Instead we got a lying, manipulative looter who put America on this suicidal course.
However, it's much easier to quarterback on Monday morning in an easy chair, than Sunday afternoon faced with charging linebackers.

Well, I am not going to say he is not a Patton, nor is he a Chamberlain. He seems to be a mix, but Chamberlain was a clear pacifist, and really believed there would be no war, that is clear from the histories of the Battle of Britain. He may be giving them enough rope to hang themselves, as he gave them 3 weeks to come up with a solution, or shutdown again and then he has no reason to not go whole hog. Right now he is trying to get through to as many sheeple as he can that it is a clear tactic of the demonrats to sabotage the govt anyway they can, so when he pulls the plug (and other things) we may not have 10 million violent morons, maybe only 5 million. Look at Ann Coulter, she didin't even bother to look at it from all sides, just started screeching Trump was a failure, which was what they wanted with this. I did see a meme of "In 1947 they passed the 22nd Amendment limiting the power of the President" then "Maybe it's time to apply it to all of them". The point being, was that may have been when the deep state made it's move, so as to be able to have Senators and Congressman with more power than the President, and attack from within through it and the bureaucracy. Seems sort of obvious now, as they can have their puppets lined up, and ready replacements like Johnson was.

Not disagreeing with your thoughts, but the president was never intended to have much power by the majority of the founders. The con-gress was not to have much power either. The power was to be in the hands of the voters who had a stake in the success of free markets and individual liberty - not every person residing in the States United - only the producers were able to vote. (A. Hamilton was an exception who wanted a monarchy and aristocracy from the beginning - that slimy treasonous looter. Maybe there should be a musical titled Aaron Burr since he executed the traitor.)

The President would not need much power, in that he was normally a Party hack, so he had a party to support, he just guided and nudged, in their view. The last 120 years or so has seen the rise of the President as a power figure, that is part of the problem,. I think they assumed the parties would have an enlightened self interest in the country, but apparently not, they did not plan for the deep state. Whenever the deep state became active, dates the fall of the Republic as we had had it designed.

The Deep State was there in disguise since the beginning (Hamilton, the traitor), but the integrity of Jefferson and a few of his followers kept it at bay until mid 19th century when first the Whigs and then the GOP pushed for the "American" system of protectionism for northern companies at the expense of the consumers (majority in the south.) Lincoln's war was the event that destroyed freedom. Naturally they wrote history to say they did it to create freedom to hide their looting. Then the idea of communism came along and camouflaged the looters even deeper behind the scenes. FDR, LBJ and others pushed it for all they could steal.

I did not see the Ann Coulter show but know as much of her that I have a very good idea what she said and why.

You are correct that Trump is not Chamberlain and he is more of a Patton, so the balance is that way.

As Patton was overridden at the end of the war when he agitated against Stalin, Trump finds himself in the same situation with the left. He has more leeway than Patton had and I am sure he is fully aware.

He probably established a strong card now with his move. At the end of 3 weeks the left will exactly be where they are now which is nowhere.

        From the WSJ yesterday:

"Sen. David Perdue (R., Ga.), one of Mr. Trump’s most faithful allies, praised the president’s decision to reopen the government without wall funding.

I just think this is a good faith gesture by the president to show that he’s interested in actually getting this done and he’s recognized the hardship this has put on people,” he said.

That is one way of interpreting it.

The left certainly don't appreciate it. It is naïve thinking that after 3 weeks Pelosi and Schumer will "negotiate. Schumer just announced that he hopes "Trump learned a lesson".

He does not sound like he is ready to compromise..

Trust me! Schumer has no intention of negotiating and Trump knows it. Schumer is going to crash with Pelosi. It will be sad seeing so much air go out of people. I must admit I will enjoy it,
