What does Yaron Brook say about the patreon problem? Why is he scared?

Yaron starts talking about the patreon issue at 55:40

“This is scary. This is very scary.”
“There is no more important an issue than free speech. If we can’t argue, if we can’t debate, if we can’t speak, we can’t change the world, we can’t change the direction of this country, we can’t stop the inevitable move toward serfdom, the inevitable drift toward slavery, towards authoritarianism.”

I’ve been trying to express how very important this recent trend is, A creepy line crossed, and many are just begining to take action against it.

The problem is with the major finance/banking companies. It's not just patreon being the problem, the banks behind funding these tribute sites = VISA, mastercard, Paypal etc are pulling all kinds of tricks and funny business. Several other funding companies have popped up to fill the void from Patreon but as soon as they start up, they get their financing pulled, blocked and sabotaged by the major credit firms.

This is a philosophical issue, not a bankers conspiracy.

It can be both, plus government force being used to pick winners and losers can be involved at many different levels.

"The problem" is not a bankers conspiracy. Yaron
Brook is properly talking about the role of principles in determining the course of the nation. Ayn Rand emphasized the importance of ideas. Trying to explain and wail about every problem as another conspiracy as "the problem" is anti-intellectual, usually arbitrary and false, and fails to address real causes. An alleged bankers conspiracy has been a John Birch Society conservative mantra for ages.

The banking angle makes a lot of sense to me. The one I worked for is all-in on the inclusion/diversity movement. On their internal performance development site for mandatory online training they added a mandatory inclusion-diversity training program with a seven question survey. It was forced indoctrination, you had to answer all questions yes to pass.

Forced indoctrination’s directy or indirectly mandated by one of many government agencies and supplied by and over charged by one of their many political friends.

In addition, this cabal is even controlling the individual especially if you are one who pays cash and does not subscribe to debt in order to acquire things.

The Federal Reserve (as do all central banks) not only encourages borrowing (banks only make money by taking interest on the loans). Banks also love the idea of "fiat" money and inflation because it is an endless source of borrowing by both the individual as well as the government.

This is the dirty little secret of the International financial system. Remember, there are only three countries who do not have a "Central Bank); 1) North Korea, 2) Cuba and 3) Iran........Isn't that interesting!? All of the rest of the countries are under the control of Central Bankers........Food for thought!

“It’s always bad getting government involved in free speech issues. It’s always bad.”
    -Yaron Brook

But if government does get involved, instead of enough personally responsible individuals,

“Politically I see a cascade of disasters before us. I see no good news in at least the next six years.”
    -Yaron Brook

So he's scared about Mastercard, but he is apparently not bothered by the actions of Patreon itself - since the text below the youtube video encourages viewers to join Patreon and pay Yaron for his postings.
That appears to be hypocritical to me. Patreon has crossed the creepy line and Yaron is ignoring it so he gets paid.

He's not "scared about Mastercard"; he's defending free speech. He defends it by speaking out and explaining principles, which is not to "get paid" no matter what, and not by refusing to use an internet platform so fewer people hear him.

Didn't know he was so anti Trump. I stopped the video at about 10 minutes in when said he was anti Trump. I used to admire Brook. Not so much anymore. Any active anti Trumper is helping Pelosi and her crew. I give them NO time

political correctness is the latest tool the left uses to ram their control down on us all. They cant shoot us, stab us, or otherwise do violence on us (and they have tried all those things after Trump won the election), so they settle on PC to do their dirty work.

Funny thing is that once that tiger is let out of the cage, it can go anywhere (like after the hollywood people and democratic politicians for sexual misconduct)/ The left should be careful of what they wish for....
