Words fail me. I just want to go and live in the wilderness somewhere away from stories like this.

When will the gender neutral insanity hit bottom? According to Heather MacDonald, LGBTQ will be tossed from the top of victimhood ladder and replaced with something equally stupid so long as the diversity train is under steam.

This is what England is doing?...It's postmodernism via cultural marxist stupidities at its best...they should not spend so much time outside on days when we have high concentrations of cosmic radiation...affects the brain don'tcha know.

On this one, I definitely agree someone left the door on the Asylum unlocked. I don't believe we can escape from these crazy observations. Let's all just ignore them! If you try to understand them it is simply an exercise in futility!

My only hope is that the parents of these kids have the sense to correct their learning. As a result, they would hopefully instill some doubt in the kids about the inherent authority and infallibility of (at least some of) their idiot teachers.

These issues are the most frustrating for me because I don't think there's a real majority that supports it and it seems to be abusing the "tyranny of the majority" principle. How in the world is this gaining so much power? So far, it looks like another leftist voting issue to stay relevant, like open borders.

You have to assume there is a majority of agreement within the group of educators who design curriculum content, at least at this local level. My faith in human common sense tells me there could never be a majority in the general public.
But the curriculum designers are not elected by the public.

I just added a comment to puzzlelady's post, then turned my attention elsewhere and did some work. Then an email came in with an interesting subject; I clicked on it. Ha! Nothing is certain any more!
    (quote of Abstract)
"Female longevity is observed in humans and much of the animal kingdom, but its causes remain elusive. Using a genetic manipulation that generates XX and XY mice, each with either ovaries or testes, we show that the female XX sex chromosome complement increases survival during aging in male and female mice. In combination with ovaries, it also extends lifespan. Understanding causes of sex‐based differences in aging could lead to new pathways to counter age‐induced decline in both sexes."

I had to post this here...

As a Teacher just let me say that this is a TOTAL LOAD OF BULLSHIT! I would refuse to teach that and allow them to fire me if necessary. Then use my teachers union to sue for whatever I could get.

For the insanity train there is no final stop.

Every time we see something like this "period" thing, there is an even greater nuisance tops it in no time.

The Europeans - always ahead of us when it comes to insanity - happily report that "soon" fathers will be able to breastfeed their babies:

Oh, there is a final stop. It's called total societal meltdown and its coming. You can't do stupid things indefinitely without the repercussions coming back to bite you.

They propose pills to stimulate milk glands. However, there have been alleged cases of fathers naturally lactating to help with the feedings. Why else would males have nipples? DNA has lots of reserve resources we don't yet understand. I'm waiting for the day they will engineer males to give birth. It has been said that in that case each family would ever have only one child.

I once read a novel (wish I could remember the title or author) about an accomplished female surgeon who frequently was called upon to perform abdominal surgery on the rich and famous, including politicians. She had invented a method of impregnating males and focused such efforts upon certain evangelicals, politicians, etc. The book ended with her flying to Rome to perform surgery on the Pope.

The rest of biology understands and uses the male female relationship to its advantage to reproduce and increase the likelihood of survival of the species. No other species has trouble identifying male or female, only the humans. The collectivists who would control others seize on this confusion to add more laws and worthless information as something to teach in order to gain control over the lives of others and the rest avoid confrontation with those who are intellectually and rationally lost so they won't appear uncaring while not realizing they are vapid.

Since boys don't have a uterus and ovaries, their "period" would not manifest in the same way as in girls. Girls likewise do not grow testicles. which boys will need as part of the human system of reproduction. If by "period" they mean recurring monthly cycles of physical development, that may trigger mood changes during certain days, it might be interesting to run a research project, questionnaires and surveys to see how boys find themselves in monthly recurrences of moods. The chemical changes are part of the body's autonomous system, but they can have subconscious effects on others. A female in heat will emit essences that stimulate responses from a male. We are all subservient to our genes. Before injecting political obsessions with equality into young people's education, perhaps they should be taught some biology.

I agree...If you mean 'cyclic behavior' or even 'cyclic behavior with a periodicity of 20-40 days', then this would be an interesting study. Unfortunately, the agenda of this in the article seems to be to socially smudge gender lines and not to improve knowledge with science.

It is also possible to take the other tack. Most people do not realize that female birth control pills do not need to have a 'skip' phase to allow for a woman to have a period. This was done by Dr Rock in hope that it would persuade the Pope that birth control was natural and gain his endorsement of it. There are now (since ~2005) oral contraceptives that eliminate the period totally.

So perhaps the best solution is to make these contraceptives easily available to young women and skip the annoyance of periods altogether.
