He lost re-election with his uninspiring and sanctimonious "moderate" statism posing as being a 'responsible adult'; not a "Rhino", but the party's unprincipled essence. It ranged from "needed" tax increases to his letting politically elitist Federal agencies like the National Park Service run rampant over private property rights.

Maybe gushing over Bush is just another way to slam Trump. If I was Trump, I wouldnt go to the funeral.

You can be sure that Trump does not want to be there and the Bush family does not want him there. It comes down to some phony sense of protocol. I personally think this entire "Lying in State" deal is totally morbid. Bury the guy already!

He lost because he never intended to do anything but promote NWO, he did nto care about the people. This phony perfect family is filled iwith CIA/JFK killing lings. Deception and killings were part of the way they operated, clear back to HW Bush's father. When JFK Jr. was milling, GW Bush sent rescue teams in the oppoisite direction, after JFK Jr threatened to expose the real way his father was killed, and to run against Hillary in NY. That family is not to be trusted. . I've kept the TV off, can't stand even the liberals fawning over this man.

I was around when this Bush was president. He was really a president that its easy to forget. Hi son was just stupid, as is easily seen in out takes that we occasionally got to see.

I dont understand why they are fawning over 41.

The media lapdogs always fawn over ex-presidents, dead or alive. The media are the agents of big government. Their entire reason to exist is to pump out statist propaganda. They exist to brainwash us that everything government does is for our own good.

When a president dies, I rejoice. One less overpriced multi-billion dollar expense that we have to pay for. Unfortunately we do have to pay for the billion dollar funeral. Send the body to APEX Mortuary and have it cremated unless the Bush family wants to pay for it. (Even that would be our money since the Bush family have been looters for nearly 100 years.)

      C'mon, Jimmy, you're next.

Well that fawning will surely stop when Trump dies. The MSM will party over that one. Bush #2 is really a dummy, as is shown in outtakes we occasionally got to see. He was hated during his term- will be interesting to see what happens when he croaks.

Carter was a NOTHING president. Hopefully he was a better peanut farmer at least. If they gush over him, I would say they are just trying to slam Trump.

"Read my lips, no new taxes," once said the now deceased Sir George of the Royal House of Bush.
Later Sir George was ready to jog when a reporter asked about his name on recently raised taxes.
Sir George's response was "Read my hips," and off and away did Sir George jog away.
So me dino has been doing a lot more channel surfing.while all the praise is being heaped on one dead as one Nutty Nancy's head Sir George.
Hey, some of those WWE girls are really pretty. Other are really ugly. though,, and act that way too.. Hallmark is having a lot of love stories with the word Christmas always in the title.

Yes, GHWB also permanently banned importation of AK47 rifles - which was the only inexpensive reliable rifle available to the people. That was the another major reason that Bill Clinton and Al Whore were elected in 1992.
Bush was a traitorous looter his entire life. Greatest generation, rubbish. Too bad he lived so long.

Because it's on a Wednesday. By Tuesday they are getting ready to go home for the weekend anyway. Remember this the next time they moan about a "government shutdown".

He was a war-time President. At least that time, he led us to victory. I did not vote for him. (At least, not in the general. I did vote for him in the primary, to keep Pat Robertson out). But when it came to the general, I abstained. I voted for Ford in 1976, for Ed Clark in 1980 (I did not understand at that time why Ayn Rand had repudiated the Libertarian Party; I did later), and then I abstained from voting for president until 2000, when I believed it necessary to vote. But as the man is dead, and so cannot defend himself, I don't begrudge him a little respect at the time of his death.
I don't necessarily have the same attitude in the case of someone who has repeatedly been crammed down our throats, for instance, FDR.

While I respect your opinions, I can't give him the honor of "war-time". The "war" was no threat to Americans until Bush put them in harms way to prove he wasn't a wimp- so he would have a better chance at re-election and power. Bush was a bully, wasting the power entrusted by the American people. The only good thing about the Bush presidency was that it wasn't a Clinton presidency.
