The blast from this meteor is estimated to be 47 million times more powerful than the Hiroshima Bomb that was 15 kilo tons of TNT
that is 30 million pounds equivalent.
The estimate for the impact this crater was formed by.. is 1,410,000,000,000,000 lbs of TNT or 1.4 quadrillion lbs of TNT
This event would have created an instant world wide Calamity. The sea level is estimated to have risen 30 feet in a day.

I wonder if this crater was the result of our sun going Nova...said to be a cycle of 12 to 15K years, something the parasitical class has hidden from us.
They didn't think the free market of value creators, inventors and producers could figure out how more of us could survive.
Last time, evidence suggests that China/pacific ocean was facing the sun when the ejecta hit.

With a thirty foot rise in sea level in a day, and 90 feet in three weeks , most drowned.
Firestone.. et al believes 2-3 large fragments hit the 2 mile thick ice sheet covering Canada and the big chunk of metal hit Greenland. These researchers along with G. Harlan Bretz conclude that the Scablands in Washington and the finger lakes in NY were carved out in with raging water in the wallula Gap 1200 feet deep for 2-3 weeks.

Well the leaders in the various fields could actually try to advance the understanding and to expand the knowledge of a discipline.
With the internet and the free flow of information
The entrenched academia may go extinct.

Either event, super Volcano or sudden impact from a space rock does not fit with the popular theory of Gradualism.
Gradualism. In geology, gradualism is a theory developed by James Hutton according to which profound changes to the Earth, such as the Grand Canyon, are due to slow continuous processes and not to catastrophes as proposed by the theory of catastrophism.

Not just the initial eruption that kills off millions in very large proximity of the explosion but the most serious after effects. How high and how much particulate goes into the atmosphere that can seriously block the suns rays from ever reaching to warm this tiny globe. Oh darn, no sun and no crops to feed the masses and the animals that feed us. Sure could get mighty cold as in another ice age which in turn will have those survivors that are left burning anything and everything to stay warm and adding more pollutants to the already fragile atmosphere that does in fact encompass this entire globe. I think the last count I saw says there are close to 11 billion human inhabitants on earth and all who survive are moving to Florida or where ever the sun might shine through.

WOW! What a coincidence I was just watching this from another link. I have often wondered why so many species went extinct at approximately the same time. This makes perfect sense that a disaster such as this could have killed off much of the life in the Northern hemisphere.

This seems to parallel the thinking of the 97% climate scientists on global warming, climate change, apocalyptic weather events, etc. In other words, our minds are made up and don't confuse us with more facts.

Scientific process seems to be unexpecting of and unprepared for the power of the Tribe. In the oft repeated words of genius of Mr. Python, “Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!” Maybe an extra step needs to be added to the Scientific Method...some way to circumvent the Tribe...any suggestions?

I am more concerned about the Super Volcanoes throughout this world and the one in and under Yellowstone. Not worried too much because if/when any of these do blow we will all be in a world of complete kayos if we are here at all.

A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

Too much to frown about my friend. You have to take humor where you find it.

That silly oldest of pyramids still stands tall and proud .There is zero evidence it was built by the Egyptians other than they occupy the land it was built on. All of the other pyramids that were built by the Egyptians 1000’s of years later are just mounds of rock. They devolved as builders until they just gave up.
