A Mind over Matter - It is We That Give Everything Meaning

Nikola Tesla is eerily similar to John Galt, but he was no John Galt. He didn't mind that others stole his ideas, and he thought most people were automatons who were controlled by their environment. And maybe in a sense he's right if they are the second handers illustrated in The Fountainhead. How similar or dissimilar is Tesla and his world view to Ayn Rand characters?
