My own personal experience, alluded to before in a previous posting, involved a very strong argument within my family about the whole issue. When I offered to send one of the combatants the actual speech by Susan Collins, everyone else involved said that this was a very hostile comment, and how could I be so insensitive as to even suggest that (sending a copy of the speech to someone who furiously criticized it, had not seen it, and had not read it).
This is how bad it is around here. You can't make this s**t up.

The divide began in earnsest under O, with his Saul Slinsky divide the races and the gender tactics. Hillary is also in love with alinsky ideas. That, with Soros money, is what led to the division. The issue now, is they cdon't control the show, Trump does, and it is something they don't know how to handle.

I think that the current civil war is going to erupt into an uncivil war the way things are going. Secession by one or more states into conservative enclaves would be a good thing, I think.

They are deathly afraid of a "Constitutionalist" (not the best mind you) and deathly afraid of someone who actually is a moral, ethical, Conscious Human being.

In Phase one if the Dimms can't win the race they immediately go to Phase two and try to win the fight after it. The left simply cannot accept defeat.
If we think it is bad now just wait until after the midterms if as I expect a big Red Wave is on the way.

And what will happen when the Left is "left" to itself? They will destroy themselves. If there were a way to separate and put all the Leftists in, say, Kalifornia, and leave the rest of the nation to the sane, we'd soon watch riots and civil war as they literally destroyed themselves. Then maybe the rest of us would have some peace.

I'm wondering what my liberal relatives are thinking now about their party's direction. Thankfully, any political discussions with them have been fairly rational and fact-based, but that was too much for my brother in law, because as he put it, I made too much sense, and I was "unfair" by insisting on facts and logic. That's from a PhD in solid state physics!

My son in law, a bass player/songwriter, insists he is not a liberal, but an independent. He, like my brother in law, is highly intelligent, but I have yet seen any of his social media posts anything but highly liberal, and he's a Bernie Sanders supporter! He doesn't dodge political discussions, and always approaches things in a rational manner. He readily admits his dislike of President Trump is due the man's behavior more than his policies. We do agree about some policies that are being implemented, or need to be implemented, and he admits his lean toward Bernie was out of disgust with crony capitalism getting in the way of a real free market, and not so much a liking for socialism.

When I point to things like BLM or Antifa, my liberal relatives agree they're paid stooges that get in the way of unified action. They still think the party will recover sanity, which I consider denial in action.

Yes, the best way to describe the left is that they became animals. Or rather rabid animals. Animals do not behave like beasts unless they are sick or hungry.
