I'm very happy to have landed in the Gulch...

I live in Connecticut, where the government is evolving into the very type of leadership (or lack thereof) that John Galt speaks of.

I'm 66 years old. After a long career as a marine biologist, I became a college professor. When I'm done being a professor, I plan on getting the heck out of Connecticut.

Hi Rick, welcome to the Gulch. Most of us have noticed things getting even crazier than ever before, in our awareness. It seems to be the preaching of Marxism blended with postmodernism (Ayn Rand used Dr. Pritchett to “explain” their believes.) This is creating some kind of irrational authoritarian cultural Marxism which new leftist have overwhelmingly embraced.
Lots of topics here about this and many other subjects.
